The Primary Care Clinician Manager (PCCM) is an integral member of the Clinical Leadership team and maintains oversight for clinical care, professional development, and practice administration. With the objectives of improving patient care & quality, facilitating practice communications and partnering with internal teams to improve our ability to recruit, train & develop providers, this role is critical to achieving our key objectives around talent development and practice advancement. The role of a PCCM is to create both a learning and working environment that promotes lifelong learning, professionalism and outstanding clinical quality. PCCMs may be asked to travel on occasion, present at conferences or business development calls, and participate in and champion clinical initiatives or Quality Assurance / Quality Improvement projects. The PCCM will work collaboratively with the VPC Leadership to provide stewardship of the practice. Responsibilities: Leadership: Coach and mentor clinicians while fostering a safe, high-performing environment. Manage individual performance in collaboration with the Medical Director and TAO; take corrective action when needed. Conduct regular staff meetings to support engagement and growth. Drive operational improvements and clinician productivity. Serve as a strategic partner across the organization to support key initiatives Communication: Act as a liaison between clinical staff and leadership teams. Provide clear, timely updates and ensure two-way feedback mechanisms are in place. May assist in organizing content for huddles and meetings Clinical Quality (QA/QI): Partner with the Clinical Quality Team on QA/QI initiatives and annual reviews. Recommend improvements based on clinician feedback and patient satisfaction metrics. Deliver feedback to promote guideline adherence and patient safety. NP Supervision (If Physician): Serve as the supervisor of record for a dedicated group of Nurse Practitioners, per state and internal requirements Clinical Care: Dedicate at least 50% of time to patient care, with timely and professional documentation. Provide care for CCM-enrolled patients and model clinical excellence. Peer Review: Support the peer review process, audit charts, and deliver necessary clinician feedback. Other Administrative Tasks: Take on administrative projects as needed; occasional business travel may be required Qualifications and Requirements: NP, MD, or DO with 5+ years of post training clinical experience (preferably in primary care) 2+ years of virtual care experience Preferred: 1+ years of clinical leadership (ideally in virtual care) Preferred: Experience in value-based care (VBC) models Strong relationship-building skills; able to influence without authority Decisive, collaborative, and skilled at gaining team buy-in. Proven ability to drive clinical quality and productivity Comfortable serving as the clinical voice of the practice Tech-savvy with Google Suite and clinical platforms Able to multitask and thrive in fast-paced settings Strong customer service focus The United States new hire base salary target ranges for this full-time position are: $89,580-$163,046 + bonus + equity + benefits Starting base salary for you will depend on several job-related factors, unique to each candidate, which may include education; training; skills; years and depth of experience; certifications and licensure; our needs; internal peer equity; organizational considerations; and understanding of geographic and market data.
