Echodyne is seeking a Senior Debug Technician with experience in RF electronics to join our team working in a fast-paced environment developing high-performance commercial radar solutions.
As a Senior Electronics Debug Technician, you will play a key role in the production of Echodyne radars, enabling us to meet aggressive production goals while maintaining the highest quality. You will contribute to solving and learning from challenging problems and root-cause investigations related to system-level and board-level failures, all related to state-of-the-art radar. In this role, you will draw upon your deep background in design and testing to aid in the quick progression through the smallest assessments to the largest debug efforts for groundbreaking products.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform measurements and tests on Echodyne Radar systems and subsystems with a goal of identifying root-cause for production test failures
Localize failures to the subsystem level to be addressed by rework technicians before re-entry to the production flow
Compile and analyze test and measurement data, distilling into key performance metrics, and regularly present results
Develop and document debug methodologies in support of resolving emergent failure modes
Work with the electrical engineering, systems, and manufacturing teams to ensure the completeness of root-cause analysis and the soundness of corrective and preventative actions
REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
Hands-on experience working with micro-electronics printed circuit assemblies in a lab environment
Familiarity with in ESD (electro-static-discharge) equipment and procedures
Experience using RF test equipment (networks analyzers, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, amplifiers, splitters and switches) at microwave frequencies up through Ka-band (40GHz)
Experience using digital and analog test and measurement equipment, including oscilloscopes, digital multi-meters, and logic analyzers
Python experience for interfacing with test equipment a plus
Hands-on experience assessing test and measurement results in support root-cause analysis
Experience assessing standard RF metrics such as return-loss, gain, noise-figure, compression point and bandwidth
Experience assessing analog/mixed signal circuits related to power development and distribution, I2C and SPI bus protocols, and clock synthesis and distribution
Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with individuals and groups
QUALIFICATIONS
8-10 years or more of relevant experience performing hands-on electronics measurement
Eligibility to handle export controlled data (ITAR, EAR)

The pay range for this position is $32.30 - $48.41 per hour.
