Job Requisition ID #25WD89568Position OverviewAutodesk is looking for a Senior Manager of Strategic Sourcing to lead sourcing and vendor management activities for assigned vendors, and projects within the Technology category. This individual must have a proven track record of managing and leading complex vendor negotiations with Tier One SaaS providers as well as being highly skilled with demonstrable experience in developing, implementing and delivering category and sourcing strategies within the Technology category. Core to this role is the ability to influence and lead cross functional teams to execute the strategies and complete related negotiations with Tier 1 suppliers on time. The successful candidate must also have a strong understanding of contractual terms and conditions and demonstrated ability to write and negotiate contracts. The Senior Manager of Strategic Sourcing will focus on traditional sourcing models including portfolio/category analysis, planning, consolidation, demand management, supplier scorecards and vendor management.Strategic Sourcing is a dynamic and growing organization within Autodesk’s Procurement Organization. In addition to the specific sourcing and vendor management responsibilities, this position is expected to contribute to the maturity of the overall function. This includes creating and refining processes, tools and templates that can be applied to across all vendors and categories worldwide.This position will be based in Costa Rica and will report to the Director, Technology Sourcing, Strategic Sourcing.ResponsibilitiesLead and oversee sourcing and vendor management activities for assigned vendors and projects within the IT categoryReview and analyze data to determine cost savings opportunities through vendor consolidation, demand management, and/or contract renegotiationsDevelop and implement advanced category and sourcing strategies for a range of technology category by collaborating with senior stakeholders and incorporating a thorough understanding of technical requirements, departmental priorities and strategies, and relevant market trendsDrive the RFx process, including requirements gathering, identifying potential respondents, establishing go/no go criteria, creating scorecards with criteria and weighting, organizing bidder's conferences, negotiation, and contractingLead complex and high-stakes negotiations for technology contracts and statements of work, serving as a liaison between business and legalIdentify and mitigate areas of risk for the business, providing strategic recommendations where applicableMaintain proficiency in all relevant policies and procedures; articulate and enforce such policies and proceduresRecognize areas for improvement and drive initiatives to achieve efficiency gains across the organizationProvide business with approved sourcing tools, processes, and knowledge to qualify vendors and manage vendor relationshipsBuild and maintain strong relationships with internal customers/clients and vendorsExcel under pressure while managing changing priorities and timelinesDemonstrate subject matter expertise in sourcing initiatives to senior stakeholdersMinimum QualificationsExtensive experience building and maintaining effective working relationships with senior business areasDemonstrated ability to drive complex negotiations with Tier 1 technology suppliersProven ability to successfully deliver and implement category strategies in the Technology CategoryHighly effective interpersonal and influencing skills necessary to obtain continued support from senior internal clientsHighly developed business and communications skills necessary to represent Autodesk successfully in high-level dealings with third partiesWork with senior business units and corporate legal staff to prepare legally binding and enforceable documentsRecommend systems and process improvements to increase contract effectiveness across the enterpriseCoordinate and provide contract and negotiation-related training to senior business unitsLive the Autodesk One Orbit cultural values by being Optimistic, Relentless, Brave, Ingenious and Trusted10+ years’ experience focused on Technology Strategic Sourcing and Category ManagementExtensive experience negotiating with Tier 1 technology suppliers such as AWS, Microsoft, Google, Salesforce, SAP, IBM & Adobe is a must haveExcellent interpersonal skillsBA or equivalent experience; advanced degree preferredStrong negotiation/influencing and presentation skillsProcurement-specific qualification a plusThe Ideal CandidateOptimistic: You inspire your team with a positive outlook, even when faced with challenges, and drive a culture of optimismRelentless: You are dedicated to continuous improvement, showing tenacity in pursuing cost-saving opportunities and efficiency gainsBrave: You are not afraid to take calculated risks and innovate in your sourcing strategies, leading transformational changeIngenious: Your creativity and smart solutions are key to developing advanced sourcing strategies and driving successful negotiationsTrusted: Integrity is at the heart of your actions, building trust with stakeholders and vendors through transparent and ethical practices#LI-MB1Learn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk!
