Reporting to the Cash Application Team Lead the Cash Application Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that all cash is posted and distributed accurately and within the required time frames under conformity to the applicable internal controls and compliance requirement. This opportunity is ideal for a well-organised and detail-oriented individual who has strong communication, customer service, and problem solving skills, and is excited to be a part of a team to sustain improvement in this key component of the company.
Key Responsibilities
Post all payments as they are received from Lock box, ACH & Wires into the system
Completes the Cash Reconciliation on a daily basis and makes all entries into NetSuite.
Runs all A/R reports necessary for month end reporting including reviewing the Cash Reconciliation and NetSuite entries.
Runs reports as needed or requested by the Cash Application Team Lead
Communicate effectively and timely with the Accounts Receivable Specialists concerning past due accounts.
Assures all monthly, weekly and daily deadlines are met in the cash applications process.
Complies with established company criteria for accuracy of cash application.
Balancing to entries posted in ledger.
Identifies and resolves suspense account postings in a timely manner
Prepares various cash application spreadsheets, reports and statistics.
Research and resolve refund and electronic posting issues, identified by revenue operations.
Identifies and coordinates remittance issues with the accounts receivable departmental staff.
Carry out ad-hoc duties within the finance team.
Required Experience/Skills:
Previous cash application experience would be an advantage
Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Have sound judgement, excellent decision making and problem solving skills.
Exhibits excellent time management, scheduling, and organisational skills.
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced and demanding global environment.
Strong system skills: General Ledger (NetSuite), Microsoft Office would be preferred
Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in processing and posting customer invoices.
