Join the team and create the future of customer experience together.As a Software Development Engineer at Genesys, you’ll be responsible for helping to design and develop cutting edge software that utilizes journey analytics to help companies uncover insights and provide greater customer experience.You will be part of a distributed agile team of developers, QA engineers, UX designers and product managers who thrive on technical problem solving and relish design challenges. This is a team of doers. We are responsible for the automated testing, application design, choice of tools, deployment, operation – the whole lifecycle of our applications from design to production monitoring and customer feedback. With this autonomy comes great responsibility. To make this work, we expect everyone on the team to understand the impact their changes might have on other teams and the Genesys Cloud platform as a whole and to consider all aspects of software design on a daily basis.Responsibilities: Work with colleagues on 3 continents, who share a passion for building the best software, the best team, and the best customer experience. Understand the software product features and problem domain.Participate in the design of user experience components that are parts of our application.Participate in the overall decisions on the direction of our frontend technology stack.Design, develop, maintain and deploy world class frontend applications including the definition of the user experience, tests and architecture with a degree of autonomy.Build shared libraries, UI framework components, and application logic from top to bottom for the main application our team is responsible for, written in TypeScript, Angular and Vue.End-to-end ownership of features from design documents and reviews to acceptance testing and deployment.Review code and provide feedback relative to best practices, improve readability and anticipate issues.Troubleshoot production support issues post-deployment and come up with solutions as required.Participate in the on-call rotation.Requirements: Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.3+ years of experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, exposure to modern ECMAScript features.3+ years of experience building SPA web applications, exposure to one or more web development frameworks (Angular preferred, React, Vue, etc.).Knowledge of the NodeJS ecosystem.Working experience with REST APIs.Version control tools and processes (e.g. git and git-flow).Continuous delivery of cloud-based software.A desire to learn new technologiesAn insistence on maintaining the quality of the code base and the customer experience. Proficient English communication skills, verbal and written. What do we offer:The warmest of welcomes: we will make sure you feel part of the Genesys team from day 1The best of both worlds: the stability of a multinational company and the flexibility and speed of a startup companyKeep you in the loop: complete support and transparency from our global and local leadersAn A-team: talented and experienced professionals you can grow professionally with and an open & inclusive communityCareer development: we will support your professional growth because your goals are important to usFlexibility: we are open to candidates being eventually office based in Budapest, remote workers long term or a mix of both, but Hungary basedEmpathy: your well-being is our priority.
