Senior Software Engineer

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced ‘Senior Software Engineer’ with strong expertise in Java (backend) and Angular (frontend) to join our Technology team at Clarivate. You will get the opportunity to work in a cross-cultural work environment while working on the latest web technologies.About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or master’s degree (BE, ME, B Tech, M Tech, MCA, MS) with good communication and logical skills.At least 3 years of hands-on experience in Java development using Spring Boot.Strong experience in Angular 10+ framework.Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.Experience working with REST APIs, JSON, and microservices.Proficient in working with Relational Databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) as well as NoSQLGood understanding of version control tools like Git.Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.It would be great if you also had . . .:  Knowledge of AWS services like EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, etc.Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.What will you be doing in this role? Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Java (Spring Boot) and Angular.Collaborate with UI/UX designers, product owners, and backend developers to deliver high-quality products.Create RESTful APIs and integrate frontend and backend services.Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.Optimize application performance, ensure high availability, and troubleshoot production issues.Work with SQL and/or NoSQL databases to design schemas and write complex queries.Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and system integrations.Contribute to DevOps efforts and CI/CD pipelines; AWS knowledge is a plus.About the Team The existing team is spread across globally and includes Developers, Product Owners, Product Managers, Architects with strong technical and analytical skills. You will be working across the software development lifecycle, from designing scalable backend services to building intuitive front-end interfaces.You would be part of large Technology Group responsible for delivering world class products and innovative solutions in the field of IP & Trademarks.Hours of Work This is a full-time opportunity with Clarivate. 9 hours per day including lunch break.At Clarivate, we are committed to providing equal employment opportunities for all  qualified persons with respect to hiring, compensation, promotion, training, and other terms, conditions, and privileges of employment.
