As a representative of Equinix and the CRE org, the Associate will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming, professional environment that reflects our company values.What you’ll be doingWelcome Desk:Act as the primary point of contact, providing support, knowledge, care and funGreet visitors and employees, CRE’s customers, engaging in conversation upon arrival and departureAnticipate and fulfill guests' needs; striving to exceed their expectationsAnswer questions from customers related to the building, including wayfinding, policies and procedures, and etiquetteCoordinate visitor check-ins and security procedures using the Envoy visitor management systemManage the distribution of security badges, and reconcile visitor logs and the EV charging station program (if applicable)Maintain awareness of potential office security issues and communicate concerning issues to the local CRE metro lead, building security when appropriate, and the risk management team management tool, ensuring compliance with company policiesMaintain an orderly and presentable lobby, moving deliveries or broken items out of site immediatelyAssist with onboarding new employees by providing essential information and resources, supporting no dead endsEvents and Employee Engagement:Build a welcoming and collaborative community environment amongst our customers through eventsCultivate a positive vibe through fun and engaging activities at the front deskPlan and support coordination, promotion, set-up, and clearing of on-site CRE-led or supported eventsAssist with scheduling and managing meeting rooms, including arranging necessary equipment, supplies, and catering for All Hands eventsPartner with We Are Equinix and Equinix Employee Connection Network teams to create inclusive eventsProvide surprise and delight customer opportunitiesOffice Communications:Create fun and informative communications for office events and information using Outlook, Viva Engage, and Office Raven toolsEnsure timely and professional communications to internal and external stakeholdersServe as liaison between employees and various departments, addressing any workplace-related concerns or inquiriesBuilding Operations:Own smooth running of the site and parking areas (where applicable), including daily floor walkthroughs to ensure the office meets Operational Excellence standards and the needs of customers and visitorsContinually monitor the site's security and safety and take immediate action when risks are identified to the site or to employees.Action customer tickets in good time, ensuring there are no dead ends, and that the customer is communicated with immediately in the case of a delaySupport office moves, openings, closures, and change projects ensuring they are executed smoothly and with minimal impact on customersCheck and ensure that the office is well-equipped with stationery, printer supplies, first aid, pantry, food and beverage, and other essential suppliesPartner with and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors to ensure they are delivering the right level of service e.g. overseeing cleaners performing contracted scopeAssist with receiving deliveries of all external and inter-office mail and support employees on all mail and shipping requirements as neededProvide direction, and information to vendors, service providers, and Corporate Real Estate staff as required to ensure excellent coordinationOversee the Purchase Order process in line with CRE policyAll of this while illustrating Equinix’s core values
