About This Role
Valon seeks a Senior Product Designer to take end-to-end ownership of major product areas and other key initiatives. You will partner closely with PMs and engineers to clarify complex problems and deliver thoughtful, user-centered experiences. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in execution, is biased toward action, and is ready to lead design for a core product area.
Responsibilities
Own the UX and UI design for a core product area from discovery through delivery.
Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering partners in an agile, fast-paced environment.
Translate complex workflows into simple, elegant user experiences
Contribute to product strategy and roadmap conversations through the lens of user experience
Provide feedback to peers and help elevate the overall craft of the design team

Required Background
5–7+ years of product design experience, ideally in fintech, SaaS, or enterprise environments
A portfolio that demonstrates strong interaction design, systems thinking, and problem-solving
Experience shipping and iterating on complex products end-to-end
Comfort working with ambiguity and driving clarity
Practical communication skills for collaborating cross-functionally
Bonus Points For
Familiarity with LLM/Generative AI tools.
Experience designing workflows, internal tools, or B2B SaaS products
Familiarity with user research, usability testing, and data-driven design decisions

Base salary band : $157,500 to $184,500

This Base Compensation pay range applies to our New York City located staff and may differ according to location.
