ELECTRON
Rocket Lab’s Electron team is responsible for building, testing, and launching our Electron rocket across our launch sites and test facilities in the United States and New Zealand. Electron is one of the world’s most frequently-launched rockets, and our team behind its success are diligent, move fast, and have each others’ back to deliver a reliable rocket to the launch pad time and time again.
ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN - LAUNCH
As a Electrical Technician - Launch, you will be based in Mahia, Hawkes Bay. In this role you will play an integral part in all launch activities. Launch Technician - Electrical is key to enabling LC-1 in delivering launches at the highest rate of any launch site in the world.
You will be working with a tight-knit team of technicians and engineers to build, test and maintain critical launch systems.
YOU'LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS:
Current NZ electrical license with no restrictions
Excellent troubleshooting skills
Computer literate and able to understand basic programming
Proven ability to read, understand and follow detailed schematics, drawings and instructions
A high level of attention to detail
Capable of working under pressure and to strict deadlines
Team player with a willingness to do what needs to be done when it needs doing along with a willingness to step outside skill set to learn and/or assist when required.
Confidence in skills and ability to make sound decisions under pressure
Strong communication skills with the ability to represent Rocket Lab within the local community and to build strong long-term relationships
Excellent problem-solving skills and capable of using your own initiative
THESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE BUT TRAINING CAN BE PROVIDED!
Previous experience in commercial or industrial environment
Experience and sound understanding of Instrumentation and control systems
Experience with data systems and equipment
Experience with basic maintenance and repair of generators and UPS Systems
Understanding of fluid systems – e.g. pneumatic, cryogenic, hydraulics
Computer literate and able to understand basic programming
First Aid Qualifications
Ability to relocate to Mahia, Hawkes Bay is mandatory
