About the role Human Interest is seeking an energetic and hands-on Senior Manager, Revenue Accounting to join our accounting team. This role manages and oversees all aspects of revenue accounting functions including revenue recognition, revenue systems and revenue related controls. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive efficiencies and ensure the revenue function can support the company’s growth. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in revenue accounting, technical accounting knowledge, be an exceptional problem solver, and have a proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams. The role requires an individual with excellent business, communication, and analytical skills, enabling collaboration with various functions. The successful candidate will be a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity, with strong attention to detail, desire to learn complex processes and systems, and experienced in partnering with colleagues to drive value and positive change across the organization. The candidate should have a strong understanding of the application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting. Additionally, the candidate will champion the adoption of SOX controls and improvements thereto. What you get to do every  day Be a leader and strategic resource to the company for all things revenue-related Oversee the revenue recognition process in accordance with ASC 606 and other relevant accounting standards Perform technical guidance (ASC 606) research and provide solutions/options to new and complex issues Oversee the monthly Revenue Accounting close process Lead transformation and automation of the revenue cycle Establish and monitor processes and controls to ensure compliance with SOX Support and drive finance transformation projects and act as a change agent What you bring to the role BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance or related field 10+ years of revenue accounting experience (FinTech preferred)  3+ years of people management experience Strong problem solving and interpersonal communication skills Ability to set priorities, handle multiple tasks, and deliver results in a fast paced and dynamic environment with the desire for continuous improvement Advanced Excel skills Experience with NetSuite CPA a must Big 4 preferred Human Interest is on a mission to ensure that people in all lines of work have access to retirement benefits.   More than half of all working Americans are not saving enough for their future. Compensation - At Human Interest, there are a number of factors that are used to determine the appropriate pay range for each position. We take into account the cost of labor for each position in various markets across the US. The base salary for this position spans $150,000 - $180,000 and represents the minimum in our lowest geographic region to a maximum in our highest geographic region. The salary that we offer to a new employee within this range is based on their location within the US, their relevant job-related skills, and experience. At Human Interest, base salary is one component of the overall Total Rewards package. Depending on the position, additional components such as equity may be offered.
