We are seeking a highly experienced Senior SAP Basis Engineer with hands-on expertise in SAP S/4HANA versions 1809 to 2023 at the application layer. The ideal candidate will have customer-side experience working with SAP HEC, ECS, or RISE environments. This role involves managing upgrades, ensuring stable day-to-day operations, troubleshooting critical issues, and collaborating with external partners and service providers.
SAP System Management & Upgrades
Lead SAP S/4HANA upgrades, including N+1 or direct upgrades.
Plan, execute, and validate system updates, patches, and kernel upgrades.
Optimize system performance, memory utilization, and workload balancing.
Operations & Incident Management
Oversee daily SAP Basis operations, ensuring system availability and performance.
Triage, troubleshoot, and resolve SAP-related technical issues efficiently.
Perform proactive system health checks, capacity planning, and performance tuning.
Work with functional teams to resolve SAP application performance and database issues.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
Partner with external service providers, vendors, and internal teams to manage SAP environments.
Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams for SAP Basis-related concerns.
Work closely with SAP support, third-party tool vendors, and cloud providers for issue resolution.
Security & Compliance
Implement SAP security best practices in collaboration with the Security and Compliance teams.
Support SAP GRC and compliance initiatives, including audits and system hardening.
Tools & Technology Stack
Work with tools such as:
SAP ALM
EPI-USE Labs – system landscape management & data masking
Control Panel GRC – governance, risk, and compliance
SAP GRC – access control and security
SNP Glue – data migration and integration
Snowflake – data warehousing and analytics

What You Need:
12–15 years of experience as an SAP Basis Engineer specializing in SAP S/4HANA (1809–2023).
Hands-on experience in managing SAP environments on HEC, ECS, or RISE.
Strong expertise in SAP upgrade management (with or without N+1 approach).
Experience in SAP Basis operations, performance tuning, and technical troubleshooting.
Proficiency in working with external vendors and service providers.
Familiarity with SAP security, compliance, and GRC tools.
Understanding of integration tools such as SNP Glue and Snowflake.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment with minimal supervision.
Bonus Qualifications:
Experience with cloud deployments and hybrid SAP landscapes
Knowledge of SAP ALM & Solution Manager and automation tools
