About the Role Hungryroot is looking for an Outbound Team Lead to join our growing fulfillment team based in Indianapolis.  An Outbound Lead will support the Outbound Supervisor in the overall operation of an outbound shift with emphasis on supporting outbound associates in the pick-to-light, product replenishment, quality assurance and accurate shipping areas.This person will work closely with outbound associates performing fulfillment activities. They will also work closely with other department Team Leads, and Outbound Supervisor to understand and review performance and expectations. The Outbound Lead will also assist in training new employees.  Responsibilities Adheres to health & safety policies, Good Manufacturing Processes (GMP), and quality standards Coordinate all setup activities necessary to begin fulfilling customer orders Work in a temperature controlled environment averaging 34 degrees Assist in researching and resolving inventory, quality, and/or efficiency related opportunities Conduct observations in the fulfillment process and provide coaching/feedback Maintain a high level of housekeeping in assigned area Pick, pack, replenish, or operate power equipment as needed Backup the outbound supervisor if they are off the floor for meetings etc. Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications Previous fulfillment experience preferred Ability to meet established standards pertaining to quantity and quality of work performed on an ongoing basis Standing continually for a 10-hour shift· Potential for overtime;  may stand for longer than 10-hour shift Ability to lift boxes up to 40 pounds Repetitive manual dexterity Basic computer skills Ability to provide coaching and/or feedback in a constructive manner High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent 1+ years of experience in a similar role  Perks & Benefits  Comprehensive health, vision, dental, and life insurance Monthly Hungryroot credit for delicious, healthy groceries Paid parental leave  401k   Our mission to help make healthy eating easy, accessible, and joyful is better served by a diverse workplace.
