About the Role We’re looking for a highly motivated Strategic Finance Analyst to join our team. The team reports to the CFO and owns all forecasting, business analytics and core metrics for our rapidly scaling business. We are analytical and detail-oriented individuals who enable leadership to make challenging strategic decisions by providing insights on business performance. We thrive on tackling challenging problems and translating quantitative analyses into actionable insights. This is a  highly visible role within Hungryroot and ideal for someone who wants to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative and data-driven environment. We aim to partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders in Operations, Marketing, Technology, etc. to deliver a comprehensive understanding of our business drivers. Responsibilities Develop core forecasting and planning tools to support annual and long-range planning Monitor and analyze weekly and monthly KPIs, providing leading indicators and actionable insights to drive performance improvements and inform strategic decision-making Build financial models to analyze new business opportunities, product lines, and pricing strategies Strengthen existing relationships with cross-functional partners across Operations, Marketing, Technology, etc ., serving as the subject matter expert and owning the model drivers and outputs inside and out Work closely with our accounting team to deliver timely, accurate, and effective analyses and reporting of financial and operational performance metrics, including weekly and monthly rolling forecasts, monthly reporting packages and annual lookbacks Track and analyze budget vs. actual spend across multiple fulfillment centers and departments to provide actionable insights, and identify opportunities for cost optimization to ensure alignment with financial targets. Actively identify and implement continuous improvements to streamline and innovate the broader Finance function Support ad-hoc analyses and projects as needed Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree and a record of academic excellence 1-4 years of relevant experience in one or a combination of the following: investment banking, equity research, investing (PE, VC, etc), financial services, management consulting, or experience at a high-growth tech-enabled company in Strategic Finance, FP&A, Business Intelligence or similar role. Advanced Microsoft Excel Experience in building and adapting financial models or using financial planning software Proven ability to collaborate successfully with cross-functional teams; a track-record of being highly sensitive and responsive to stakeholder needs and concerns Project manager; self-driven motivation with a high degree of organization and efficiency with demonstrated attention to detail Effective communicator with experience interacting with senior leaders Nice to haves  Knowledge of SQL (or desire to learn) Experience using Looker or similar BI tool Perks & Benefits  Remote-first: work from home, work from our NYC office, work from anywhere in the U.S. - you decide!
