Senior Fullstack Engineer (US Remote) US Remote Apply Alt is on a mission to revolutionize investing by unlocking the value of alternative assets (collectibles first), a $60B+ market. Currently, we’re focusing on establishing ourselves as the dominant marketplace for trading cards, a $5B market, before taking on additional asset classes. Our platform enables users to exchange, invest, value, securely store, and authenticate their trading cards. And we envision a world where anything is an investable asset.
To date, we’ve raised over $100 million from thought leaders at the intersection of culture, community, and capital. Some of our investors include Alexis Ohanian’s fund Seven Seven Six, the founders of Stripe, Coinbase co-founder Fred Ehrsam, BlackRock co-founder Sue Wagner, the co-founders of AngelList, First Round Capital, and BoxGroup. We’re also backed by professional athletes including Tom Brady, Candace Parker, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Alex Morgan, Kevin Durant, and Marlon Humphrey.
Alt is a dedicated equal opportunity employer committed to creating a diverse workforce. We celebrate our differences and strive to create an inclusive environment for all. We are focused on fostering a culture of empowerment which starts with providing our employees with the resources needed to reach their full potential.
The Role
We’re looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer who wants to build category-defining products — not just punch tickets. You’ll join a high-impact, cross-functional team focused on shipping end-to-end features that shape how people value, trade, and manage alternative assets. You’ll write clean code, make smart trade-offs, and work closely with product and design to solve real user problems (fast). If you have strong product instincts, full ownership mentality, and a bias toward action, you’ll thrive here.
What You’ll Do Here:
Own the work. Design, build, and launch features from end to end — from backend services to frontend UIs and everything in between.
Prioritize impact. Identify areas of highest leverage and dive in. You’ll make thoughtful trade-offs between speed, quality, and scope to ship the right solutions quickly.
Think like a product owner. Collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to turn ambiguous ideas into working products that customers love.
Build for scale. Ensure our systems are performant, reliable, and maintainable as we grow.
Be a multiplier. Help level up your teammates through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and technical mentorship.
This is a perfect fit if you…
Think in terms of users, not just tickets. You have strong product instincts and care deeply about creating intuitive, high-impact features.
Love building. You enjoy jumping into unfamiliar areas of the stack and have a high agency mindset.
Are pragmatic. You know when to refactor and when to move fast — and you make those trade-offs with intention.
Are energized by ambiguity. You thrive in early-stage environments and like figuring things out as you go.
What You Bring to the Table:
5+ years of backend experience (Python, Postgres, AWS or similar cloud infrastructure) and frontend experience (React, React Native, JavaScript/TypeScript)
A track record of owning features or systems from design to production
Strong collaboration and communication skills — you write great docs, ask smart questions, and give thoughtful feedback
A user-first mindset with a sharp eye for clean UX and performance
Bonus: You’re familiar with the collectibles space or alternative asset marketplaces
What You’ll Get From Us:
A seat at the table to help shape the future of Alt and the alternative asset space
Autonomy and ownership on projects that matter
$100/month work-from-home stipend
$200/month wellness stipend
WeWork office stipend
401(k) retirement benefits
Flexible vacation policy
Generous paid parental leave
Competitive healthcare benefits, including HSA, for you and your dependent(s)
Base salary range: $170,000–$195,000, plus equity. Offers may vary based on experience, location, and other factors.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?
We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.
Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp .
