Vehicle Engineer - Rotational Program

Zoox's Vehicle Development Team is seeking an entry level engineer to participate in an Engineering Rotational Program. The Vehicle Development Engineering Rotational Program (VDERP) is a professional development program designed to provide hands-on experience across critical vehicle development system programs. This program offers early-career engineers the opportunity to contribute to the development of autonomous vehicles while gaining diverse technical expertise across Zoox Vehicle Engineering and Vehicle Integration Departments. In this role, you will: Collaborate with a team of world-class engineers with diverse backgrounds in areas such as AI, robotics, mechatronics, planning, machine learning, control, localization, computer vision, rendering, simulation, distributed computing, design and automated testing.  Be challenged to rethink what it means for hardware design to arrive at elegant and efficient systems now that a robot is in control.  Qualifications BS or MS in Mechanical, Electrical, Automotive Engineering or Robotics Strong academic performance Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Effective communication and teamwork abilities Passion for autonomous vehicle technology Rotational Program Benefits Mentorship from experienced engineers Exposure to cutting-edge autonomous vehicle development Hands-on experience with Zoox vehicle development processes Compensation There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. The salary range for this position is $105,000 to $135,000. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance. The salary range listed in this posting is representative of the range of levels Zoox is considering for this position.
