We embrace diversity in thought and contribution and are committed to providing an equitable work environment that is foundational to our core values as a company and is vital to our success.Provides direct supervision to professional individual contributors and/or skilled, support individual contributors.Acts as guide to unit or sub-units and may become actively involved, as required, to meet schedules and resolve problems.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for identifying and ensuring a safe & efficient storage and distribution of goods for Equinix and its customersReceives predetermined work assignments that are process-driven, and subject to a moderate level of control and reviewDirects subordinates on a course of action based on knowledge of established policies and proceduresProvides input and contributes to managing costs related to a unit or sub unitResponsible for the relationship between Equinix, Zona Franca Bogota, DIAN and government entitiesQuality AssuranceUses systems to maintain accurate records; is also able to interrogate various systems if queries ariseEnters all goods received in the stock inventory system, updates the database, and correlate the items received to ensure order requirements are fulfilledEnsures accuracy of supporting documentationManagementSupervises the learning performance and development for the teamMakes decisions to ensure the team works within the guidelines of the Equinix Delivery/Collection and Environmental, Health and Safety policiesAssisting the manager in organizing, planning and implementing strategyAssigns tasks and monitors work at frequent intervalsMaintains schedules and workflow of the teamProvide support for all LATAM region countries regarding Inbound and Outbound Shipment processPolicies/MethodsPlans or implements improvements to internal or external logistics systems or processesDevelops a site strategy that meets the business objectives of Equinix whilst ensuring excellent customer satisfactionHelps develop and implement process(es) to maintain and monitor minimum/maximum stock Inventory to prescribed levelsContinuously improve warehouse operations through the use of lean practicesComplianceImplements process(es) to maintain and monitor minimum/maximum stock Inventory to prescribed levelsConduct scheduled audits at IBX’s to examine if logistics processes are managed efficiently and effectively Continuously improve warehouse operations through the use of lean practices and established proceduresData Center Management Supervises Data Center equipment and inventory levelsGuides and advises a unit or sub-units to meet schedules and solve problemsLiaises suppliers on inventory lead times and creating POM orders for stockDefine or improve KPI metrics of performance for the teams' membersReport KPIs regularly to senior Manager Ops in ColombiaVendor ManagementRegularly reviews with vendor and identifies areas of improvementsWork together with procurement team to keep updated LPU - List Price unit to create efficiencies and saving buying materials for customer installationsReportingProduces country monthly/quarterly reports of Inventory stock levels and customers announced/unannounced shipmentsProduces monthly/quarterly reports of Inventory stock levels to various stakeholdersProvide quarterly reports and insights on how the department is functioning to empower decision makingMay act as the interface in the managers absenceResponsible for produce all reports to be submitted for local government entities as DIAN, MINCIT, and Free Trade Zone (Zona Franca de Bogota)QualificationsRequires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree in foreign trade, import/export or related careerSpecialization or additional studies in supply chain preferredRegional hazardous materials certification or national H&S qualification preferredRequire knowledge in technical and interpersonal abilities as trade compliance, logistics management, market research, and strong communication skills, including cross-cultural communication and negotiationTypically require financial knowledge and an understanding of international trade law, adaptability, problem-solving, and the ability to work effectively in diverse teamsLanguage SkillsExcellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English/Spanish, and Portugues desirableEquinix is an equal opportunity employer.
