Initially, you will start with handling onboarding and offboarding processes and responding to employee inquiries. As you become more accustomed to the tasks, you will also be involved in labor-related matters, benefits, training, and Employee Relations activities.You will be responsible for supporting approximately 200 employees at the Seoul office. As a member of the APAC People Experience team, you will be in a position to collaborate with other People teams members while carrying out your duties.Specific Job Responsibilities:Handling onboarding and offboarding processesResponding and resolving HR-related inquiries from employees, managers, and vendorsPlanning, preparing, executing, and supporting HR-related trainingSupporting people managers with all people related matters, including addressing employee relations issues quickly, effectively and in line with local employment laws and regulations.Managing and overseeing the employee benefits program, including vendor management, contract renewal and payments.Drive the review and implementation of HR programs and guidelines in partnership with the broader People team.Supporting eBay payroll on monthly payroll as needed.Collaborating with other regions and the People Tech Systems team to advance HR-related projects.Overseeing and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of employee data management and maintenance.Assisting employees on maternity/paternity leave or leave of absenceManaging and updating HR-specific sites and manualsCreating employment certificatesDrafting and distributing HR announcementsTranslating documents from English to Korean and Japanese to KoreanHandling work visa renewal proceduresDeveloping and providing support for a variety of HR-related documents, ensuring they are accurate, compliant, and aligned with organizational policies and goals.Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices and regulatory changes in HRRequired Qualifications (MUST):5+years’ experience working previously as a HR Generalist.Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.An excellent practical knowledge of HR best practice policies and procedures and employment legislation in the South Korea.A passion for helping people by coaching, mentoring & supporting the business units. Strong communication, negotiation, and influence skills are essential to stand firm in adverse and challenging situations.An individual with a sense of ownership and responsibility with a proven record of working on their own initiative.Attention to detail & a pragmatic approach to problem solving. Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.Native-level Korean language skills and Business-level EnglishPreferred Skills and Qualifications:Conversational-level Japanese skillsPlease see the Talent Privacy Notice for information regarding how eBay handles your personal data collected when you use the eBay Careers website or apply for a job with eBay.eBay is an equal opportunity employer.
