The ideal candidate should have proven experience in building fast, intuitive, and stunning applications using C++, Object-Oriented Programming, and relevant technologies. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team of software development engineers at Autodesk in Singapore, developing best-in-class software applications.ResponsibilitiesDesign, prototype, implement and test AutoCAD toolset (Architecture and MEP) features according to product specificationsCollaborate with the extended team of software developers, product designers and quality assurance engineers across worldwide engineering sitesWork as an integral member of a high performance team making an important individual contributionEstimate effort and schedule for projects undertaken and complete them on time, adhering to pre-determined specification and quality standardsWork with Product Design to provide solutions that are innovative and functional meeting market requirementsOptimize source code to effectively leverage object-oriented design, development, and code reuseWork closely with QA in functional testing and problem resolutionWork with tech lead and architect in order to maintain high quality code and architecture consistencyProvide input to technical publications and review documentation of new featuresMinimum QualificationsA bachelors' degree or higher in computer science. Degrees in physics, engineering or mathematics will be considered with the relevant programming experience5+ years hands-on programming experience in C++. Experience in C# or Java can be considered in case of strong OOP experience and willingness to work in C++Understanding and application of object oriented design, design patterns, complex data structures and algorithmsExperience with working on code enhancements within a large, complex software systemFamiliarity with the software development process, including specification, documentation and quality assuranceKnowledge of Agile software development methodologiesExperience working with distributed teamsSuccessfully completed two or more commercial software development cyclesKnowledge of agile engineering practices such as pair programming, test driven development & continuous integrationExperience with Microsoft .NET and WPF (Good to have)Experience developing applications using the ObjectARX and/or AutoCAD .NET API (Good to have)Knowledge or experience in Architecture domain (Good to have)Preferred QualificationsPassion for developing robust software and writing maintainable codeKeen interest in new technologies and their timely adoptionFlexibility under changing conditions and ability to multi-task between projectsFluent oral and written communication skills in English languageSelf-directed and require minimal supervision#LI-PW1 Learn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk!
