Job Requisition ID #25WD86404Position OverviewAutodesk is looking for a Senior Software Engineer (DevOps) to join our team focused on shaping the future of Fusion Factory solutions. We are looking for a person who is enthusiastic about delivering innovative solutions aimed at providing a device-independent experience. The ideal candidate will have experience in all aspects of software development for desktop and web applications.FlexSim is a discrete event manufacturing simulation software developed by FlexSim Software Products, Inc. FlexSim is 3D simulation software that models, simulates, predicts, and visualizes business systems in a variety of industries: manufacturing, material handling, healthcare, warehousing, mining, logistics, and more. It uses an OpenGL environment to realize real-time 3D rendering and it is declared to be the only simulation software that incorporates a C++ IDE and compiler in the graphic modelling environment.Fusion Factory will be a part of the Fusion platform and will have tools to design, build, and operate factories. Fusion Factory will contain capabilities from many different Autodesk tools, providing a workspace to design 2D and 3D factory layouts, animate/simulate product flow, perform throughput analysis, as well as having the ability to input real-time data from an MES. The goal of this workspace is to connect data from all aspects of a factory lifecycle and provide a way to collaborate in real-time with all stakeholders to catch mistakes before they occur andmake better business decisions about manufacturing lines or material handling systems.Responsibilities Lead the design, implementation, testing, and maintenance of the applicationDesign and maintain automated deployment systemsRecommend process improvements to ensure system scalability and reliabilitySupport development and maintenance of CI/CD processes for application deploymentsManage, monitor, and optimize automation tools for deployment, monitoring, and operationsTroubleshoot and resolve issues in development, testing, and production environmentsProduce clean, effective, secure, maintainable, and well-documented codeEmbrace an event-driven architecture mindset and apply it to software design and developmentCollaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align on project goals and timelinesUtilize debugging techniques to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficientlyLeverage cloud technologies, including AWS services such as S3, OSS, and RDS, for scalable and reliable solutionsAct as a Scrum Master, facilitating agile ceremonies and ensuring the team's adherence to agile principlesMentor and guide junior engineers, fostering their professional growth and ensuring high-quality deliverablesImplement and manage continuous delivery systems and methodologies on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud PlatformMinimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field6+ years of industry experience building and delivering robust, performant, and maintainable commercial applicationsStrong understanding of object-oriented programming principlesExperience with DevOps tools like Jenkins, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or TerraformProficiency with Git and GitHub WorkflowsExpertise in scripting languages (Bash, Python, Powershell)Proficiency in technologies including C++, C#, .Net Core & .Net FrameworkProficiency in frontend development such as JavaScript/HTML/CSSProficiency in backend development frameworks such as NodeJS, DjangoExperience building Progressive Web ApplicationsExperience in building user interfaces with WPF and/or WinFormsSolid understanding of CAD tools and background in CAD customizationExperience with database technologies e.g. MSSQLExperience with build and CI/CD tools such as JenkinsExperience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS services such as S3, OSS, and RDSFamiliarity with Agile methodologies and working in a Scrum frameworkSolid understanding of event-driven architecture principlesExcellent problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing prioritiesStrong verbal and written communication skills in EnglishPreferred Qualifications Masters in Computer Science.Experience developing add-ins, plugins, content libraries (Autodesk preferred)Familiarity with CAD concepts related to Inventor, AutoCAD, Factory Design UtilitiesExperience leading teams and serving as a Scrum Master#LI-KS2Learn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk!
