Join us at Autodesk.The Growth Experience Technology (GET) organization at Autodesk is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Principal Software Engineer to join a diverse team of intelligent, driven engineers who are responsible for developing innovative customer success offerings.This engineer will work collaboratively within a high-performing Scrum team in which the code, infrastructure, and services they develop will have a direct and positive impact on millions of users. This work plays a critical role in our organizational transformation and customer experience initiatives.Responsibilities Lead the design and implementation of highly available, scalable, distributed systems and microservices in a production environmentLead the development of scalable and responsive front-end applicationsCollaborate with architects and technical product managers to translate system architecture and product requirements into well-designed software componentsTake ownership of software component implementation, with strong emphasis on code quality, test-driven development, and industry-standard engineering practicesParticipate in software design reviews, conduct peer code reviews, and offer constructive feedback to development team membersWrite unit, functional, and regression tests for all developed code, and contribute to test automation, continuous integration, and deployment pipelinesCollaborate as a member of an Agile team to deliver best-in-class software solutionsProvide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineering colleaguesDemonstrate excellent technical problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly learn new technologies and methodologiesExhibit low tolerance for inefficiency and a strong commitment to automation wherever feasibleMaintain a creative, collaborative, and product-oriented mindsetDemonstrate a genuine passion for creating simple, robust, and scalable platforms that enable other engineering teamsMinimum Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related technical disciplineAt least 10 years of experience in software engineeringBroad knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS), server-side programming, databases, and cloud-based architecturesExperience in the development and deployment of system features and in designing and maintaining QA automation frameworksProficiency with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and continuous delivery (CD) frameworksExperience designing and developing microservices and RESTful web servicesDemonstrated ability to build performant middleware componentsStrong debugging, testing, and problem-solving abilitiesSelf-motivated with a quick learning curve and an ability to work independentlyTeam-oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skillsTechnology stack: Node.js, AWS, React.js, Jenkins, GitHub, and Artifactory#LI-SJ1Learn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk!
