Job Requisition ID #25WD86261Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Platform Engineer to join our Data Platform team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data platforms, data warehousing, and data administration. This role requires the ability to define and align data platform usage from an organizational perspective, ensuring that our data lake and data warehouse environment is optimized and effectively supports our business needs.ResponsibilitiesDefine and align Data Lake and Data Warehouse usage strategies across the organizationDesign, develop, and maintain Data Lake and Data Warehouse solutionsPerform and maintain data lake and data warehouse administration tasks, including user management, security, and performance tuningCollaborate with data architects, business stakeholders, and other teams to understand data requirements of the organisation and set up guidelines and processes for stakeholdersDefine cost attribution, optimization, and monitoring strategies for the data platformDevelop and maintain data models, schemas, and database objectsMonitor and optimize data lake and data warehouse performance, ensuring high availability and reliabilityStay up to date with the latest developments in data platforms and related technologiesProvide guidance and mentorship to junior team membersMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field5+ years of experience in Data Platform engineering3+ years of hands-on experience with data lake and data warehouseExperience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Data Warehouse such as SnowflakeExperience with provisioning and maintenance of Spark, Presto, Kubernetes clustersExperience in extending data platform functionalities in line with open table formats like Iceberg, metadata stores like HMS, GDC etcStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailExcellent communication and collaboration skillsPreferred QualificationsSnowflake ExperienceExperience with coding languages such as PythonFamiliarity with data visualization tools like LookerExperience with Agile/Scrum methodologies#LI-SB4#LI-HybridLearn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk!
