The Education team faces a variety of unique and interesting challenges such as: developing serverless applications, creating engaging end-user experiences, digging into low-level performance details, and streamlining processes. This is your chance to work with a team of experienced, smart individuals, participate in a fun and engaging workplace culture, and have your work seen and used by millions.ResponsibilitiesArchitect and develop new featuresLead the design and implementation of robust, highly available, scalable, responsive, distributed systems, microservices, and frontend applicationsFocus on quality, including writing unit/integration/end-to-end test suites and refactoring when appropriate, and contribute to continuous integration, and deployment processesWork closely with architects, technical leads, product owners to translate overall system architecture and product requirements into well-designed and implemented software componentsBreak apart complex initiatives into manageable chunksTake ownership of the implementation of individual software components, with a high emphasis on quality, test-driven development, and sound software engineering practicesParticipate in software design reviews, conduct peer code reviews, and provide input and feedback to other members of the development teamLead and mentor team to follow software engineering standards, including efficiency, quality, security, resiliency, and other best practicesCollaborate as a member of an agile team to get products and components developed and completed with best-in-class software developmentProvide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineersExcellent technical problem-solving skills and aptitude to learn new technologies and methodologiesLow tolerance for inefficiency and a burning desire to automate anything that can be automated.
