Job Requisition ID #25WD88553Position OverviewWe are seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Software Engineer to enhance our cloud platform and improve the Product Access Journey for millions of Autodesk users. This role emphasizes the delivery of resilient, scalable, and high-performing applications on AWS infrastructure. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will lead the end-to-end solution design and delivery, manage projects independently, and collaborate with key stakeholders.ResponsibilitiesLead solution design, development and maintenance of cloud applications supporting microservices architectureCollaborate with cross-functional teams on software design, test automation, monitoring, and CI/CDLead projects by organizing scope, estimating efforts, establishing timelines, and ensuring implementation and deliveryIndependently manage requirement analysis, solution design, implementation, and release planningEnhance system resiliency, reliability, scalability, and security of applications and architectureOptimize system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement resilient solutionsImplement engineering best practices throughout development and delivery pipelinesProvide real-time technical support and collaborate across functions to resolve application issuesLead incident response, conduct root cause analysis, and implement production improvementsDrive sound engineering practices and mentor junior engineersParticipate in on-call rotations, providing critical 24x7 support for our production systemsMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field6+ years of progressive experience in software development of microservices and serverless architecturesStrong Java and SpringBoot skills for developing optimized, multi-threaded, and scalable server applicationsHands-on experience with unit, integration, and system testing tools such as Junit, Wiremock, Cucumber, etc.Experience in independently debugging issues in localized environmentsExperience with container technologies, e.g., Docker, AWS ECSExperience with build tools, e.g., Gradle, MavenExperience in defining and building CI/CD processes and working with tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, etc.Broad knowledge of AWS cloud services, serverless programming, databases, and cloud architecturesProficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, Go, Groovy, etc.Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration in an agile/scrum team environmentTechnology stack: Java/SpringBoot, AWS (ECS Fargate, Elastic Cache, Lambda, Kinesis, DynamoDB, IAM policies, API Gateway, NLB/ALB, Route 53, CloudWatch, Kibana, Open Search, etc), Kafka, GoLang, Groovy, Python, Jenkins, GitHub, Jira, ServiceNow and SplunkPreferred QualificationsKnowledge in applying AI and ML solutions for engineering processes and/or DevOps automationUnderstanding of Policy Based Access Control and policy agents like Open Policy Agent (OPA)Familiarity with standardized observability frameworks such as Open TelemetryExperience with data streaming pipelines such as Kinesis, Firehose, and KafkaCollaborative team player who is also an independent contributor and self-starterPassionate about delivering high-quality cloud solutions and infrastructures for multi-platform applicationsSelf-directed, accountable and demonstrates end-to-end ownershipLearn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk! For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $110,300 and $190,300. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range.
