Job Requisition ID #25WD88388Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Content Taxonomy Analyst to join our team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining ontologies and taxonomies that drive our content strategy and underpin our content management platform. This role is crucial in ensuring our information is organized, accessible, and effectively utilized across the organization.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in knowledge representation, data modeling, and semantic technologies, with a passion for solving complex information challenges. This role will report to a Product Management Senior Manager and will drive the next wave of conversational AI and generative search capabilities; along with powering rich content experiences that drive support and success of our customers. This is a hybrid role based in Bengaluru, India. ResponsibilitiesOntology and Taxonomy DevelopmentDesign, develop, and maintain ontologies and taxonomies that accurately represent domain knowledge and business conceptsCollaborate with subject matter experts to gather requirements, define scope, and ensure accuracy and completeness of knowledge modelsApply semantic web standards and technologies (e.g., RDF, OWL, SKOS) to build robust and scalable ontologiesContent Taxonomy StrategyDevelop and implement a comprehensive content taxonomy strategy that aligns with business goals and user needsDefine content types, metadata schemas, and controlled vocabularies to support content creation, management, and retrievalEstablish guidelines and best practices for content tagging and classificationContent Management Platform SupportWork closely with the content management platform team to integrate ontologies and taxonomies into the platform's architecture and functionalityEnsure the platform effectively supports semantic search, faceted navigation, and other knowledge-driven featuresProvide guidance and support to content authors and editors on the use of taxonomies and metadataData Governance and StandardsContribute to the development of data governance policies and standards related to ontology and taxonomy managementEnsure compliance with industry best practices and relevant standardsPromote the use of ontologies and taxonomies across the organizationCollaboration and CommunicationCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including content creators, developers, data scientists, and business stakeholdersCommunicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiencesParticipate in industry communities and stay up-to-date on the latest trends and technologies in ontology and knowledge representationContent Modeling and MetadataDesign content models and metadata schemas to support structured content and improve findabilityImplement and manage metadata governance processes to ensure data quality and consistencyDevelop strategies for metadata enrichment and automated classificationMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Library Science, Linguistics, or a related field. Master's degree preferred3+ years of experience in ontology development, taxonomy design, or knowledge representationStrong understanding of semantic web technologies (RDF, OWL, SKOS, SPARQL)Experience with ontology editing tools (e.g., Protégé, TopBraid Composer, PoolParty)Experience with content management systems and related technologiesExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentPreferred QualificationsExperience with machine learning and natural language processing (NLP) techniquesExperience with knowledge graph technologiesFamiliarity with data governance principles and practicesExperience with ontology editing tools (e.g., SmartLogic, Protégé, TopBraid Composer, PoolParty)Experience in Industry Domains (Architecture, Engineering & Construction, Manufacturing, Media & Entertainment, Product Design & Development)#LI-RV1Learn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk!
