We are looking for a Principal Software QA Engineer with deep expertise in test automation, a strong background in cloud-native applications, and proven experience working across globally distributed teams. You will be responsible for leading the QA efforts, designing automation strategies, and ensuring the overall quality of our software products. This is a hybrid role, and you will report to a Software QA Engineering Senior Manager.ResponsibilitiesLead end-to-end quality assurance efforts for cloud-native applicationsDesign, implement, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks for APIs, UI, and integration testingDrive automation-first testing culture, enabling faster and reliable software releasesCollaborate closely with cross-functional global teams (product, development, DevOps, Customer Support) to ensure high-quality deliverablesEstablish and evolve QA processes and best practices to support a high-performing engineering cultureOwn test planning, execution, defect tracking, and reporting metrics to stakeholdersMentor and guide a team of QA engineers in automation and quality strategyIntegrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines and ensure coverage across environmentsStay updated on the latest testing tools and technologies and introduce them as appropriateParticipate in design and code reviews to ensure testability and best practicesMinimum Qualifications9+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, with 3+ years in a lead roleStrong experience in test automation using tools like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, TestNG, or similarProficiency in programming/scripting languages (e.g., Java, JavaScript, Python)Solid understanding of microservices, RESTful APIs, and cloud-native architecture (Kubernetes, Docker, etc.)Experience testing applications on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCPExperience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or GitHub ActionsExposure to testing in Agile/Scrum environments and global team setupsExcellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively#LI-Hybrid#LI-AC3Learn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk!
