This innovation is happening across our flagship products—AutoCAD, Revit, Construction Cloud—and Forma, our new Industry Cloud.As a Full-Stack Software Developer on the AEC Solutions group, you will join a team of technologists to help build foundation models and generative AI tools for the AEC industry. You will collaborate across organizations with a versatile group of AI Researchers, ML Engineers, Software Architects, and Experience Designers to develop generative AI solutions that enhance AEC customer workflows.Location: We support hybrid work, and you work near our Boston, Massachusetts or Toronto, Canada offices.ResponsibilitiesLead engineers to design, develop and test working softwareContribute to the implementation of individual software components, with a high emphasis on quality, test-driven development, and sound software engineering practicesLead software design reviews, conduct peer code reviews, and provide input and feedback to other members of the development teamWrite unit/functional/regression tests for the code you create, and contribute to test automation, continuous integration, and deployment processes together with everyone else in the development teamMinimum QualificationsBS or MS in Computer Science or related technical field10+ years of software engineering experienceProficiency in Autodesk Revit API and experience working on Revit plugins or Add-onsFront-end web development experience, building scalable web applications using UI libraries such as React and working with Typescript/JavascriptPrevious back-end service and API development using common protocols such as HTTP, grpc, or websocketsExpertise with Git and GitHub for source control and collaboration within a teamPreferred QualificationsProficiency with OpenGL/WebGL or other graphics programming interfaces, including graphics libraries such as three.jsExperience in the AEC industry, using Autodesk products such as Revit, AutoCAD, or Forma, and AEC data schemas and standards, especially using the product APIs for plugin developmentExperience with browser dev tools, logging libraries, and performance monitoring.Experience with unit and integration testing frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, etcFamiliarity with Machine Learning practicesThe Ideal CandidateEasily collaborates with other members of an Agile team to get products and components developed and completedConstantly strives to learn new technologies and methodologiesIs adaptable, customer-focused, and seek new ways to solve hard problemsAt Autodesk, we're building a diverse workplace and an inclusive culture to give more people the chance to imagine, design, and make a better world.
