Job Requisition ID #25WD88040Position OverviewAutodesk is seeking a passionate and skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our new Developer Tooling team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in server-side technologies and hands-on experience in full-stack development, with deep expertise in AWS technologies; hands-on experience in TypeScript, Python, and Node.js; and a proven track record of delivering high-quality, scalable software solutions. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will help build, maintain, and support internal developer tools that streamline API publishing, automate documentation delivery, and develop SDKs for external use. These tools enhance engineering productivity and improve consistency across Autodesk.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and deploy secure and scalable internal developer tooling, including APIs, CI/CD workflows, and SDK infrastructure, enhancing existing components as necessary to meet project requirementsCollaborate with engineers, product managers, and cross-functional partners to define, implement, and deliver featuresWrite clean, maintainable, and well-tested code with a focus on reliability and performanceContribute to architectural discussions and provide implementation input under the guidance of senior staffSupport and enhance CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins and SpinnakerContribute to observability and monitoring for internal services using tools such as Dynatrace and SplunkParticipate in on-call rotations to support production systemsTake end-to-end ownership of assigned features from design to deployment, collaborating closely with tech leads and peersMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field5+ years of experience in software engineering, including building production applications on large-scale AWS cloud infrastructure (e.g., Lambda, DynamoDB, ECS, RDS, S3)Proficiency in TypeScript and Python; experience with Java is a plusExperience building and maintaining RESTful APIs and microservicesExperience with SQL and NoSQL databases including RDS and DynamoDBSolid understanding of CI/CD practices and experience with tools like Jenkins and SpinnakerPreferred QualificationsWorking experience with object-oriented principles and software design patterns; experience in languages such as Java or C#/.NET is preferredFamiliarity with build tools such as Maven, Gradle, and MakeExperience developing SDKs or contributing to API client librariesKnowledge of observability and monitoring tools such as Dynatrace and Splunk#LI-CL1Learn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk!
