Director, Lease Accounting

This role will report to the Vice President of Accounting and lead all lease accounting activities related to real estate and datacenter leases, ensure accurate lease accounting worldwide and provide guidance in accordance with ASC 842 Leases.What you will doing:Review lease agreements to evaluate the accounting impact under ASC 842 and provide proper accounting guidance to ensure accurate lease accountingPartner with the Lease Administrator team and FP&A for accounting mattersReview ASC 842 disclosure footnotes and schedules prepared by Senior Lease AccountantManage monthly/quarterly close procedures over all lease-related accounts worldwideReview quarterly Asset Retirement Obligation assessment and related accountingReview and maintain procedural documentation and training materials related to lease accountingAnalyze lease data to provide analysis for lease-related accountsManage lease accounting system (Apex) development and implementation projectsMaintain compliance with SOX controls and the Company’s lease accounting policyContinually enhance existing processes to improve controls and/or efficiencyWhat we need to see: Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in Finance/Accounting with an active CPA license12+ years of public accounting and/or related industry accounting experience5+ years of people leadership experienceExpert in ASC 842Strong understanding of key lease provisions and ability to confidently read and interpret lease contract languageOutstanding leadership skills with a proven record of mentoring and developing teamsSuperb written and verbal communication skillsFamiliarity working in a public company SOX-compliant environmentWays to stand out from the crowd:Experience collaborating across a large organization to influence and inspire changeExperience with SAP and/or Lease Harbor Apex system is a plusEnergy and real passion for delivering results in a dynamic growth company and fast-paced environmentAn initiative-taking approach, with the ability to consistently meet deadlines and deliver high-quality resultsWidely considered one of the technology world's most desirable employers, NVIDIA offers highly competitive salaries and a comprehensive benefits package. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
