We are looking for a versatile, dynamic, and agile Staff Technical Learning Engineer to join the VCF Learning: Technical Content Development team who will perform the research, design, develop, and curate some of the world-class digital training content for VMware Cloud Foundation.About the Role: Technical Learning EngineerTechnical Learning Engineers (TLE) are technology leaders and subject matter experts (SME) who fully understand VMware by Broadcom’s Role Based Learning Portfolio and develop the learning curriculum to align to the Learning Portfolio. TLEs serve as the primary customer advocate for the learning curriculum portfolio and align it to the business strategy. TLEs balance the inputs of multiple stakeholders (e.g., Technology Product Management, Technical Marketing, etc.) while continuously evolving the learning solutions for role-based learning delivery. They are responsible for developing technical content curriculum assets by maintaining the highest level of industry education standards. They participate in learning asset definition and curating content resources from internal and external sources to ensure the proper coverage.Success in the Role: What performance outcomes will you work toward completing over the first 6-12 months?This position is responsible for developing and maintaining technical training courseware for VMware by Broadcom’s Customers, Partners, and GS support personnel. Technical Learning Engineer is responsible for creating the course design and developing all instructional materials, including presentation materials, participant guides, handouts, and job aids or other materials.They are commonly also responsible for evaluating training, including assessing what was learned and whether the learning solution led to a measurable skill uplevelling.Design and write learning experiences to address established objectives and partner closely with SMEs, and development peers to create or curate content as appropriate, drawing from both internal source material and external content as necessary. Continually raise the development standards by identifying, experimenting, and implementing new and innovative learning experience design approaches, tools, and systems.The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing regularly?Develop and curate Technical Training Content on VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) for various stakeholders including Customers, Partners, Field, Support personnel etc.Design and develop Hands-on Lab environments, Lab Storyboarding, and Lab exercises for technical training curriculum.Create Lab Simulations of real-world scenarios that facilitate curriculum-aligned opportunities for practice.Create knowledge checks and interactive assessments to validate learner’s knowledgeConduct Train the Trainer (TTT) sessions to fellow Instructors and Developers.Develop the content in the content development tool (Xyleme) for both Instructor-Led (ILT) and Digital OnDemand (OD) formats.Develop expertise in Automation, Operations, Compute, Storage and Network stacks of VCF.Collaborate with various internal & external stakeholders to understand the roadmap, product design and usability for customers.Collaborate with Product Management, Technical Marketing, Solution Engineering, Engineering SMEs, and Instructors to validate course design and content.Develop and deliver content for customer webinars and TOIs for internal audiences as needed.Partner with engineering to structure and design TOI (transfer of information) content.Update and maintain existing courseware and labs based on customer feedback.Partner with other business functions to gather customer requirements and implement the same in the curriculum.Skills and Experience:8+ years’ experience developing technical training materials10+ years’ experience in the technical industry.Strong knowledge of VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) with additional domain knowledge of Automation, Networking and Storage domains would be preferred.Good understanding of Containers and Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD certified) technologies will be an added advantageHave expertise in e-learning tools and methodologiesStrong aptitude for learning new technologiesSelf-starter, taking initiative and requiring minimal supervision.Logical approach to problem solving.Experience in multi-media tools (Camtasia, Articulate, Captivate etc) will be an added advantage.Excellent written and oral communication skillsCertifications:VCAP Level (CMA, NV, DCV) Certifications are required.Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) would be an added advantageCertified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) would be an added advantage.CCIE/CCNP level certifications would be an added advantage.VMware Certified Instructor (VCI) would also be preferred.Broadcom is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
