Clarivate is seeking a skilled Senior UX Designer to join our growing, global User Experience team! As a Senior User Experience Designer, you will work closely with users and internal stakeholders to design expectational user experiences across a suite of tools that support scholarly research, funding and publishing. You will also work to accomplish product and business objectives, and with the software development staff to convey requirements, understand and work within technical constraints, and optimize the efficiency and quality of design implementations.With continually evolving business needs, this position requires an individual who is independent and can successfully work in a dynamic environment. Success in this role demands excellent adaptability and communication skills to navigate deadline-driven projects and our iterative development approach.  You will also need the confidence to constructively question and contribute to stakeholder discussions. Joining us means collaborating on a diverse portfolio of projects with our global teamsAbout You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments Minimum 5 years of experience in a design-related disciplineBachelor’s degree AND/OR equivalent training/professional work experience in one of the following areas or a related field – Library Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, Cognitive Psychology, Graphic Design, Visual CommunicationsMinimum 3 years proficiency in rapid wire-framing and prototyping tools, with strong preference for experience in Figma Technical knowledge of UI frameworks (eg: Angular)A portfolio demonstrating your experience creating great user-centered designsAdept in the design and documentation of complex interfacesExpertise in modern visual and interactive product design, specifically modern web technologiesSolid experience and competency performing and analyzing usability research    It would be great if you also had Proven ability to effectively interact and collaborate in a cross-discipline and creative team comprised of users, user experience designers, product managers, developers and executive leadersExperience defining and maintaining a UI design systems and patternsExperience supporting the visual design practice on the team, including conducting design reviews and guiding the evolution of product design systems, Current or prior experience working in the Academic Research & Publishing spaceExpertise in accessibility standards (W3C WAI guidelines)Basic understanding of the capabilities and limitations of web technologies (HTML, CSS, XML, JavaScript, etc.)Ability to work independently and manage multiple concurrent projectsWhat will you be doing in this role?Identify user needs and requirements by working closely with internal and external stakeholdersTranslate requirements into highly usable, efficient and delightful user interface designs:Design and specify product experience concepts using iterative design techniques, including persona creation, journey mapping, customer research and usability testingParticipate in design and implementation reviewsCreate wireframes, prototypes, information architecture, pattern libraries, standards and guidelines Analyze quantitative and qualitative data and identify additional research needs as well as effectively communicate research findingsSpecify design and interaction requirements for development teamsCollaborate with development teams to ensure consistent and standardized designs across our productsMaintain and enhance our product design systems, effectively collaborating with development teams to bring designs to life in our end productsPlan and manage time appropriately to deliver high quality work on timeAbout the Team  Our Team of 30 UX Designers and Researchers is passionate about our users of the products we create to support our Academic and Government market segment.  We are highly valued by our product and technology partners across our segment who look to the UX team to bring their expertise and user knowledge to strategic problems and initiatives that impact learning and research across the world.  We collaborate across multiple countries and have a strong team culture of shared growth and learning.    At Clarivate, we are committed to providing equal employment opportunities for all  qualified persons with respect to hiring, compensation, promotion, training, and other terms, conditions, and privileges of employment.
