The successful candidate will have a proven track record in channel sales, exceptional relationship-building skills, and the ability to execute multi-tier sales strategies.ResponsibilitiesChannel Strategy Development:Design and implement a comprehensive channel sales strategy for South Korea, aligned with the company’s overall business objectivesIdentify and prioritize key market segments, partners, and opportunities for growth Drive Incremental Revenue Growth:Achieve and exceed incremental revenue and market share targets by leveraging the channel ecosystemMaximize sales opportunities through distribution partners, Tier 1 Partners and strategic technology alliancesDevelop and execute joint Go-to-Market (GTM) strategies with partners to accelerate revenue growthManage a robust sales pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting and deal tracking to meet quota targets and key performance indicators (KPIs)Partner Recruitment, Activation, Development, and Relationship Management:Analyse the channel landscape to identify, prioritize, recruit, and onboard high-potential partners, including Tier 1 Partners and 2-tier distribution networks, to expand market coverageJointly develop and execute Partner Business Plans and Go-to-Market (GTM) strategies with distributors and Tier 1 Partners to drive revenue growth, new reseller recruitment, and achieve sales booking targetsEvaluate and assess partner competencies, geographic coverage, product/service alignment, and operational capabilities to ensure strategic fit and maximize channel impactArticulate and co-engineer joint value propositions and solutions with partners, engaging and leveraging internal cross-functional teams where requiredBuild and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders across partner organizations, fostering collaboration and trustTechnology Alliances Collaboration:Work closely with strategic technology alliance partners to develop and deploy integrated go-to-market strategy and co-selling opportunities driven by joint solutionsDrive alignment between the company’s product roadmap and the offerings of alliances partners to create differentiated values propositionsRepresent the company at alliances partners events, industry conferences and joint customer engagementsBusiness Operation and Pipeline Management:Collaborate with Distributor & Tier 1 Partner to customise deal structures on more diverse dealsProactively addresses Distributor’s operation process with Equinix’s internal quote-to-cash operation process, and to resolve issues with support of internal function teamsCollaborate and drive Tier 1 Partners new contract and negotiations to protect Equinix revenueThis is a quota bearing role and candidates must have experience in managing sales pipeline, forecast, deal registration, quoting and other quote-to-cash activitiesJoint pipeline reviews with both internal and partner stakeholdersTrack and report on key performances metrics, including sales pipeline, revenue booking and market penetrationCross-Functional Collaboration:Works closely with Equinix Direct End User Sales, Sales Engineers, and Marketing, Partner Programs and other internal teams and stakeholders. Exposure of working in a multi-cultural / global environment is preferred although not necessaryEducates partners on how to engage Equinix resources (including Field Sales, Solution Architects, Sales Engineers, Customer Success Managers, Sales Supports) to define, quote, and order solutionsLeverages executive sponsors appropriatelyQualificationsEducation and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus. Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in channel sales, partner management, or business development within the information technology, network or datacenter industryProven success and track record in a quota bearing sales role out of building and managing multi-tier channel ecosystems, including distributors and technology alliance partners Skills and Competencies:Strong understanding of the Korean market, including domestic partners, distribution networks, technology trends and partner landscapeExcellent relationship-building and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with partners at all levels Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute channel sales strategies Results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets Strong communication and presentation skills, both in English and Korean Ability to work independently and collaboratively, and to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environmentPreferred QualificationsExisting network of contacts within the Korean marketExperience working with global technology companies and managing cross-border partnershipsKnowledge of datacenter infrastructure, cloud computing, and emerging technologies Equinix is committed to ensuring that our employment process is open to all individuals, including those with a disability.  If you are a qualified candidate and need assistance or an accommodation, please let us know by completing this form.
