Focus is on routine tasks, using limited judgement of standard operating procedures. Supports the overall team.ResponsibilitiesProvide Technical Support services including: Data Centre operations, equipment maintenance and service provisioningSupport Disaster Recovery drills and invocationsInstall and de-install of customer cross-connectionsPerform Smart Hands ServicesPerform Tape backup ServicesIncident handling, problem troubleshooting and escalation to upper tierEscort Telco engineers to provision or troubleshoot of circuitsSupervise vendors for work within data center premisesMaintain accurate records, document all problems, and prepare ReportsExhibit quality workmanship on all workManage multiple concurrent interdisciplinary projects and ability to work in a team24x7 shift duty and emergency scheduling of work is requiredMay perform other duties as assigned​QualificationsTechnical Institute/University Graduate in Computer Science or related disciplineCustomer focus with good communications and interpersonal skillsAble to perform 24x7 shift dutyGood presentation skills and problem solving skillsDiscipline, self-initiative, self-motivate and willing to learnFluent English speaking and writingKnowledge or experience in office applications, telecommunications equipment and technologiesCertifications in IT industry (CCNA/CCIE/Juniper/Sun/etc.) an advantageEquinix is committed to ensuring that our employment process is open to all individuals, including those with a disability.  If you are a qualified candidate and need assistance or an accommodation, please let us know by completing this form.
