Performs monthly accounting close activities focused on more risky and complicated countries.  ResponsibilitiesPrepare complex general ledger journal entriesEnsures proper and timely recording of financial transactions in the general ledger in accordance with GAAP, company policies and internal control standardsManage a large portfolio of complex CIP construction & IT projects and work cross functionally to ensure accurate accountingPrepare account reconciliations for moderate to complex accounts.  Ensures that general ledger ending balances are reconciled and reconciling items are resolvedParticipate in month end close activities & Quarter end activitiesReview of financial results and variance analysis as compared to prior period for assigned areas on the financial statementsWork with various data owners and departments which includes Tax, OPS, CIO and FinancePrepare financial audit PBC requests for quarterly financial reviews and the annual audit for both SEC reporting and the external auditorsAd-Hoc Reporting and AnalysisSpecial projects as required· Performs flux analysis Prepares reconciliations Executes SOX controlsQualificationsAt least 3+ years of experience in accounting, Fixed Assets/CIP experience preferredExperience performing accounting researchStrong analytical and process skills; strong attention to detailAbility to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environmentProficiency in Excel beyond basic use (i.e. pivot tables, vlookups, etc.) requiredExperience with Oracle Cloud, PPM, PCS preferred.Experience with Hyperion Essbase, preferredStrong organization and planning skills, and strong PC skillsStrong communication skills, both oral and writtenTeam player with a positive energetic attitudeBA in Accounting preferredMBA and/or CPA is a PlusEquinix is committed to ensuring that our employment process is open to all individuals, including those with a disability.  If you are a qualified candidate and need assistance or an accommodation, please let us know by completing this form.
