Highlights issues and drives resolution when required. Acts as mentor and technical coach for NSD Engineer I. ResponsibilitiesNetwork FulfilmentA working knowledge of DWDM, Metro Ethernet transmission and must have undergone a basic training in optical and wireless networks with focus on SDH/OTN/IP transmission standards/protocolsGood understanding of telecommunications/engineering principles, transmission, and access networks, IP networks, metro Ethernet etc.Basic knowledge of IP and IP related Technology and protocols such as BGP, MPLS, and DNS etc.Basic knowledge of the Ivorian telecommunication market and/or experience working in a telecommunications environmentAbility to interpret topography, network design maps and AutoCAD Designs/and or Visio appAbility to use E-Analyzer, SDH Analyzer and other signal testing tools/instrument and diverse bandwidth test appsProblem Solving/AssessmentDetermines and applies appropriate methodologies and tools for analyzing a range of standard, functional and/or cross-functional issuesHelps identify process gaps and issuesDynamic forward thinking to ensure customers are not impacted by process/technical failuresDetermines and utilizes appropriate methodology including Lean Six Sigma where appropriateRelease ManagementObtains, creates and documents business requirements engaging multiple stakeholdersSupports and manages cross-functional BRDsWorks with the BSA's and Dev team on solution design and developmentReviews functional design (FD)Partners with stakeholders to analyze, define and document business processes within and across functional areasUtilizes Lean Six Sigma methodology, supporting the design or improvement of business processesAssist in performing user acceptance testing (UAT)May be responsible for ensuring UAT is fully planned and executedAssesses testing progressUpdates process and procedural documentationCompletes post deployment analysisProject ManagementSupports project plans and resources, helping to ensure resources are in the right place at the right timeWorks with stakeholders to gain alignment through implementation and post-implementation stagesCommunicates team progressApplies appropriate project management skills and best practices including Lean Six SigmaHelps identify risks and issuesReporting and MetricsStatus reporting providing periodic project updates, highlighting risks, issues and concernsPerforms ad-hoc reportingCSITakes part in cross functional discussions to drive issues, challenges and prioritization effortsUpdates CSI and Issues logs ensuring the relevant detail is providedDevelops CSI opportunities for the wider team to reviewQualificationsBachelors Degree Or Equivalent ExperienceProven years work experience in the configuration, operations and maintenance of optical fiber, Metro Ethernet, SDH/OTN equipmentEquinix is committed to ensuring that our employment process is open to all individuals, including those with a disability.  If you are a qualified candidate and need assistance or an accommodation, please let us know by completing this form.
