This role requires an experienced, highly organized,and results-driven professional with strong expertise in event management and demand generation within public sector markets.Your Day-to-DayDevelop the integrated field and channel marketing plan for the U.S. Public Sector markets to drive pipeline growth and customer loyaltyCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including Public Relations, Product Marketing, Demand Generation, and others, to provide context around public sector marketing needs and maximize the Public Sector team's ability to leverage these resources in the fieldDevelop, execute, manage, and measure demand generation programs that help the sales team exceed revenue goalsThese integrated marketing programs may includeIndustry events, seminars, user groups, and webinars that showcase customer success and support cross-sell and upsell opportunitiesC-level campaigns designed to create and accelerate opportunitiesChannel and technology partner marketing programs, incorporating partner co-marketing efforts into regional plansThought leadership and content development to position Proofpoint as a leader in the public sectorGreenfield programs targeting new contact and account acquisitionTrack program ROI and analyze performance metrics related to marketing-generated pipeline in the Public Sector businessWork closely with Sales VPs, Regional Directors, and extended sales and channel teams to understand their priorities and translate them into results-oriented marketing plansCommunicate program status, action items, results, and deliverables across marketing and sales teamsManage and balance the field marketing budget and overall spendWhat You Bring to the TeamA minimum of 5–7 years of B2B, high-tech field and channel marketing experience, including at least 2 years focused on the Public Sector marketProven success in developing and executing programs that drive demand, accelerate opportunities, and deliver measurable ROI Strong knowledge of the current Public Sector market, including industry trends and the competitive landscapeA passion for field marketing and close collaboration with sales to generate pipeline and drive business growthComfort with both day-to-day execution and long-term planningStrong project management skills, attention to detail, and adherence to established policies and processesAbility to work effectively under tight deadlines and manage projects independentlyA collaborative mindset with enthusiasm for achieving team goalsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience with Salesforce.com and Marketo is a plusWillingness to travel up to 30% of the time Location is flexible within the United States Why Proofpoint Protecting people is at the heart of our award-winning lineup of cybersecurity solutions, and the people who work here are the key to our success. We are a customer-focused and driven-to-win organization with leading-edge products—and many exciting reasons to join our team.
