As an Engineering Program Manager (EPM) in the New Technology organization, you will be responsible for leading the development builds of key modules (Display, Camera, etc.). Your goals are to ensure that modules are built according to specifications, and shipped according to the given timeline. Description Description - Lead cross-functional communication between Apple Internal project teams and external vendors.
- Work with Engineering Management and Vendors to define plan, track, communicate and escalate as appropriate.
- Enable the development effort by creating and monitoring an efficient, streamlined process between Apple teams and external vendors.
- Provide timely issue resolution and critical path management.
- Facilitate good communication and offer multiple levels of status across a wide spectrum of individual contributors to executive management.
- Drive day-to-day Engineering build activities, at vendor’s factory, to meet overall program objectives. Minimum Qualifications Minimum Qualifications 5 - 10 years of experience (with a minimum of 5 years in engineering development or engineering program management) Minimum bachelor's degree in engineering (Optical, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Physics, etc.) General knowledge of the product development life cycle (Proto build, EVT, DVT, etc.) Program Management Experience Strong communication skills Willingness to travel (60-70%) Key Qualifications Key Qualifications Preferred Qualifications Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with technical risk assessment reviews Proficient in writing status reports and technical review summaries Strong analytical skills for problem-solving Effective status tracking skills and attention to detail Ability to work well with cross-cultural and multi-functional teams Display technical skills (beneficial to have) Knowledge of problem-solving methodologies/tools (e.g., FACA report, 5 Whys, fishbone diagram) Understanding of general industrial manufacturing processes (e.g., Display TFT, SMT, die cutting, plastic injection molding, sheet metal stamping, etc.) Experience with failure analysis tools (e.g., SEM/EDX, FTIR) Experience with bringing up new production line equipment/testers Knowledge of production line quality control Apple is an Equal Opportunity Employer that is committed to inclusion and diversity.
