Job Requisition ID #24WD81774Position OverviewThe Export Customer Screening Analyst plays a vital role in safeguarding Autodesk from export and trade compliance violations while ensuring timely customer access to Autodesk Products. This position collaborates closely with the Global Trade Compliance department to screen transactions and prevent sales of high-technology products to sanctioned individuals, outlaw states, or nefarious entities. The Analyst supports the Global Trade Compliance team by identifying and reviewing flagged customers or transactions and contributes to maintaining and updating procedural guidelines for the Export Customer Screening team.ResponsibilitiesCompliance Screening: Independently address and resolve export compliance alerts by thoroughly reviewing customer information against Autodesk’s Export Compliance screening system (Oracle OWS)Urgent Resolution: Act with urgency to resolve Export Compliance blocks on open customer quotes and ordersResearch and Investigation: Assist in researching and investigating current and potential customer accounts, including company and industry scope, and document their proposed usage of Autodesk products and servicesDecision Making: Clear export compliance order blocks or confirm denial of sale based on research and Export Compliance status. Document findings and update the Customer’s Export Control status in Autodesk systems (Salesforce / OWS / other)Daily Operations: Handle multiple software systems simultaneously, manage a backlog of Export Compliance Alerts, and reference customer data in our CRM system. Utilize tools like Google, Dow Jones, US Bureau of Industry and Security, US Department of State articles, and other government-issued watchlistsPre-Screening Activities: Guide Autodesk Sales efforts on potential customer opportunities through pre-screening activitiesDocumentation and Follow-up: Collect legal documents such as Letter of Assurance or End Use Statement from prospective customers. Investigate and resolve system sync or other errors between Autodesk transaction systemsData Analysis and Process Improvement: Analyze data to develop data-driven suggestions for process improvement. Update policies, procedures, work instructions, and internal documentationEscalation and Support: Escalate complex cases to the Lead Export Compliance Analyst, who may further escalate to the Global Trade Compliance or Legal resource. Respond to inquiries about an order’s export compliance status from internal Autodesk Client Services staffRegulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all current regulations regarding the sale of Autodesk high-technology products. Exercise the ability and confidence to deny a sale that may violate US, EU, UK, or similar Export law and document the reasoningEffectively manage time-sensitive tasks with multiple software systems openReview and resolve Export Compliance alerts generated by screening customers against watchlistsResearch and resolve pending customer orders placed on Export Control BlockParticipate in pre-screening activities for Autodesk Sales opportunitiesFollow-up on legal documentation from prospective customer companiesInvestigate and resolve system synchronization errorsAnalyze data and suggest internal process improvementsUpdate policies, procedures, and work instructionsEscalate complex cases and respond to internal inquiries about export compliance statusMinimum QualificationsStrong research and analytical skillsAbility to work independently and with a sense of urgencyProficiency in using compliance and CRM systems (e.g., Oracle OWS, Salesforce)Excellent communication skills for documenting findings and collaborating with team membersConfidence to make compliance-related decisions and say “no” when necessary#LI-AV1Learn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk!
