The team is closely aligned to the sales organization, with the ability to execute campaigns across our core personas, industry and account segments. You will also coordinate and align team members in the region that may have separate reporting lines, including communications, digital, content and customer advocacy.About the RoleWorkday is looking for a Marketing Director to lead the company’s marketing efforts for Germany with a focus on net new customers. This position is an excellent opportunity at a fast-growing, US-based software company that is rapidly expanding in the region. As Marketing Director for Germany you will work closely with the other members of the Marketing, Sales and Services teams to build brand awareness and pipeline for the business. You will be leading a small team of dedicated marketing professionals across Germany, ensuring we exceed our growth targets and bring ever more focus to our execution. You will report into the Head of Marketing, DACH. Responsibilities include:Develop the Marketing Strategy and annual marketing plan for Germany designed to create awareness and build pipeline for Workday’s core solutionsAlign Marketing plans to the business prioritiesTightly integrate with the sales teams on a regular basis to drive planning and execution, ensuring timely and open communication channels.Ensure and support your team with flawless execution across all planned marketing activities to drive successful outcomes.Identify audience segmentation strategy, vehicle and media mix recommendation, timing and forecast of resultsDrive integrated marketing campaigns from inception to optimization with a cross-functional marketing team based in EMEA and the US. This will include demand generation, brand awareness, events, field marketing, web/online marketing, communications and creative services.Work with aligned groups (product marketing, sales, operations and strategy) to develop appropriate messaging platforms, content, and stories from which to build campaignsAnalyze campaign performance and make recommendations for optimization and future enhancementsManage project budgets and take responsibility for tracking and monitoring campaign spend.Lead and develop your teamUnderstand and live our Company ValuesAbout YouBasic Qualifications:15+ years successful related marketing experience, preferably in a SaaS, enterprise software, cloud environmentA business degree or equivalentExperience working in Germany for a US-based company Track record of team building and team leadershipFluent German and English language skills Other Qualifications:Results-driven marketing professional with a proven ability to deliver commitments on time while achieving or exceeding business goals.Knowledge of the local enterprise software market, preferably within HR and/or Financial applicationsSome knowledge about the German MittelstandStrategically-minded but willing to be very hands on and get programs executedProven ability to effectively execute integrated, streamlined marketing programs that drive pipelineAbility to work with people at all levels of an organization including executive management, sales, and marketingWilling to travel within EMEA and to HQ in the USA occasionallyFlexibility as role and responsibility may change over timeThis is a hybrid role based in our Germany, Munich officeOur Approach to Flexible Work With Flex Work, we’re combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote.
