Overview, team, and Scope: Looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) manager for our product suiteQA manager’s responsibilities include recommendations and implementation of the best quality practices, in addition to leading the QA team on test approach, design and automation based on thorough review and understanding of the system requirements. The responsibilities also include mentoring the team on debugging and defining corrective actions on various observations during the test runs.The QA manager will also track and report quality assurance metrics (e.g. defect densities and open defect counts.) towards both status-reporting as well as continuous improvement. QA manager will enable the QA team for monitoring all stages of software development for the product suite to identify and resolve system malfunctions to meet quality standards and ensure that the team does that effectively.The QA manager’s role plays an important part in our company’s product development process. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for assuring correct and complete test execution before product launches to ensure software runs smoothly and meets client needs, while being cost-effective. If you hold an engineering background and enjoy providing end-to-end solutions to software quality problems, we’d like to meet you. What you’ll do:Review requirements, architecture, specifications and technical design documents related to the products in the suite, to provide timely and meaningful feedback to development team as well as guidance to QA teamLead the QA team by example towards creating detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test casesWork with senior QA engineers to estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activitiesRecommend and improve automation frameworks and help team design, develop and execute automation scripts using open-source toolsRecommend and implement best practices on identifying, recording, documenting and tracking bugs, and performing thorough regression testing when bugs are resolvedDevelop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet organization standardsLiaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirementsTrack quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect countsStay up to date with new testing tools and test strategiesWhat we are looking for:Proven work experience in software quality assurance as a lead and managerExperience of 10-12 years in software industry Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, automation, tools and processesExperience of working in an Agile/Scrum development processExperience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test casesHands-on experience with both white box and black box testingHands-on experience with automated testing toolsHands-on experience with Cucumber and SeleniumBTech/BS/MTech/MS degree in Engineering or a related subject Our ValuesIf you want to know the heart of a company, take a look at their values.
