Reporting within Global Operations function to Director of NPI Program Management, this position demands a blend of technical acumen, leadership, and a results-driven approach to navigate the operational complexities of new Telecommunication equipment / component development and mass production.About the jobUS - Hybrid, Home Office & complying with Infinera onsite Office requirements as applicableResponsibilitiesLeads manufacturing-related programs based on engineering plans and production specifications to establish supply sourcing, production schedules, labor loading, capacity requirements, quality control standards.Acts as Master Scheduler by providing input to management, schedules, and/or interfaces with marketing, sales, production, and engineering managers.Works to resolve labor and material shortages, backlogs, and other potential schedule interruptions, especially in case of design changes.Oversees the master schedules and ensures comprehensive compliance with material requirements for manufacturing.Coordinates cross-functional teams through meetings and progress measurement activities, bringing distinct, specific projects to completion both on time and within budget.Requires people and resource management through others; part of a cross-functional team required to complete the project.Drives ongoing product cost analysis in support of product cost targets.Drives manufacturing readiness reviews across Engineering and Operations functions - Establishes and provides inputs to NPI release checklist, Product Life cycle Process checklist, Milestone reviews.Works with Buyers and Suppliers to drive material and build readiness for proto, pre-production, and production ramp builds in adherence to schedule requirements.Works closely with Supply Chain and engineering teams to develop sourcing, logistics, and demand plans for prototype and production material.Working with material buyers and planners to select, order, purchase and track delivery of materials to meet Proto, Pilot and Production ramp schedules.Ensures DFx (Design for Cost, Quality, Manufacturing, Services) activities to achieve 100% resolution of manufacturing issues.Manages and communicates NPI schedules with the Contract Manufacturing partners, Engineering, direct Suppliers, and Operations teams.Assures Lifecycle Gate deliverables are complete and timely.Drives BOM reviews to assure accuracy and readiness and actions lower BOM Resiliency scoring items.Works to ensure all change activity (ECN, variances, deviations) is implemented accurately and effectively to support the program schedule.Identifies project risks and recommends appropriate resolutions.Aligns actions to meet company’s strategic, financial and operational targets.Works independently with minimal supervision.Prepares and delivers reports to senior management.Seeks ways to improve upon the status quo.Serves as backup to other PM in the team as needed.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years OR Master’s degree with 3+ years’ experience in program management or project management, supply chain or operations.Prefer education majors to be in Engineering, Business Operations, Supply Chain Management but others will be considered with relevant experience.Ability to work with culturally diverse and geographically distributed teams.Ability to manage multiple projects successfully at the same time.Knowledge of supply chain and operations roles and responsibilities in NPI gate reviews and product lifecycle management.Knowledge of manufacturing BOMs, ECO, MCO, DEV, Agile life cycle management tool, Forecasting, Demand and Supply Planning, ERP / MRP / MES tools.Proven analytical capabilities and using data to provide insights and solutions.Enjoys problem solving and process improvements.Proven ability to be flexible, resourceful, adaptable, take initiatives and thrive in ever changing ambiguous environment.Possess good attention to detail and able to follow through on issues.Deadline driven with the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-orient environment.Problem-solving skills with the ability to accomplish tasks and navigate situations with limited, sometimes ambiguous information.Demonstrated track record of hitting commitmentsExpert user of MS project, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Teams, Power BI, Sharepoint.Excellent written and verbal English communication and negotiation skills.Knowledge of fabrication, assembly, manufacturing, test & validation process of Printed Circuit Board, Telecommunication equipment, Semiconductor or high-tech equipment a plus.Experience in Six Sigma, SCRUM project management methodologies and real-life implementations a plus.APICS or PMP certification a plus#LI-DW1#LI-Hybrid“This position requires direct or indirect access to certain confidential information, hardware, software, technology, or technical information (referred to here as “Export-Controlled Information”) controlled under the U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
