The Greater China team develops and manages world-class marketing and advertising efforts that support Apple’s rapid growth in this region. This includes all consumer-facing communications across Localization, Advertising, Retail, Partner, Social, Interactive & Digital platforms, as well as support for Video & Motion Graphics.
As the Creative Director, Writing (Storytelling), you will work alongside an ACD Art Director and agencies to create work across all mediums for products, services, and campaigns. Your passion for Apple products and the brand will drive your work, influencing customers worldwide.
The Creative Director will work closely with the GC Group Creative Director, Worldwide Creative Leadership (London & Cupertino), and Greater China Marcom leadership to deliver creative that resonates with the market. Description Description Own the creative process and lead creative teams within the storytelling team and agency to develop, review, and execute campaigns for Apple’s brand and products.
* Guide the teams through concept development and the execution of film and other deliverables for both broadcast and digital platforms.
* Provide feedback, listen to perspectives, and resolve conflicts within your team and across Marcom, ensuring all voices are heard and considered.
* Lead and collaborate with Writers, Art Directors, other team members, and agencies to conceptualize ideas and co-direct teams to produce quality work.
* Guide emerging writers in crafting meaningful and inspiring content.
* Write, review, and empower campaigns for Apple’s brand and products.
* Present work to senior creative staff, product marketing managers, and Apple executives.
* Integrate strategies and messaging across online, retail, channel, events, advertising, and new communication mediums.
* Work with project managers and Group Creative Directors to ensure schedules are accurate, realistic, and that deadlines are met.
* As leaders, finding and developing new talent is key. As is planning and staffing for an ongoing calendar of projects and managing outside agencies and vendors for overflow projects.

Minimum Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Must provide a creative portfolio or work samples. 15+ years of overall experience and 5 years of management experience as a leader in advertising or marketing communications industry, or an equivalent background. 10+ years of experience in concepting, creatively directing, writing copy, and producing major marketing, communication, or advertising campaigns. 10+ years of extensive exposure to local culture in China and its unique media landscape. Strong written and spoken English skills for effective communication with international team members.
