This is a remote position that could be based anywhere in the United States or Canada.Calix has an immediate requirement for the role of Director, IT Infrastructure which will report directly to the Senior Director of IT Operations, and heavily influence decisions around productivity & collaboration technologies for Calix. In addition to a solid understanding of managing a team in a largely remote work environment, the Manager must be prepared to develop key performance indicators (KPI’s) and have a proven track record of continuously improving services through structured service improvement plans.The Director will have experience in leading a team of professionals across geographies toward an established roadmap. The successful candidate will be familiar with how to support cloud and on-premises platforms and how to apply ITIL standards to make the most of them. They must also have solid communication skills, engaging stakeholders proactively and reactively depending on situational needs.Responsibilities and Duties:Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.Ensures that all phases of service support, including installations, upgrades, software, hardware, operating systems, and operating system configuration issues, are properly coordinated, monitored, tracked, and resolved.Oversee systems security and compliance.Business continuity and disaster recovery for Calix Infrastructure on premises and on cloud.Partner with IT teams and business units to define services and service levels.Develop and maintain a roadmap to mature services and add new capabilities.Identify and implement innovative technologies that facilitate an effective and productive remote work experience at Calix.Propose and develop services definitions, service metrics, service level agreements, and resource needs.Modernize Incident and problem management functions and tooling.Participate in key process improvements as they relate to service management and collaborate with stakeholders across Calix to ensure functions meet their requirements.Develop and implement policies, procedures, and technologies to ensure optimal systems function.TechnologiesAzure IaaS/PaaS/SaaSMicrosoft 365Microsoft Endpoint ManagerJAMFApple Device Enrollment ProgramMicrosoft AutopilotActive DirectoryOktaVMware ESXiCisco UCS EnvironmentNetApp NASQualifications:Minimum of 10 years in IT administration, with at least 5 years of those years in a leadership role.ITIL Manager’s Certificate.EducationBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Engineering discipline, or equivalent work experience.Location:Remote-based position located in the United States or Canada.#LI-RemoteCompensation will vary based on geographical location (see below) within the United States.
