Job Requisition ID #24WD81381Position OverviewWe are looking for a Principal Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) who is passionate about cloud infrastructure and proficient in MySQL database administration. This pivotal role centers around ensuring the utmost reliability, availability, and performance of our database systems, particularly MySQL databases hosted in AWS Aurora and other NoSQL databases.ResponsibilitiesArchitect, develop and manage Cloud infrastructure alongside MySQL and NoSQL databases within high SLA environmentsEnsure robust database administration for various applications, promoting continuous operationsLead database maintenance tasks and disaster recovery strategies.Spearhead database consolidation, migration, and capacity planning effortsEnhance database performance, security, and monitoring frameworksCollaborate across functions to troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and database issuesEngage in on-call rotations, providing critical 24x7 support for our production systemsQualificationsAt least seven years of experience in MySQL database administration or similar rolesProfound expertise in AWS cloud services and database technologies such as MySQL replication, MySQL Cluster, and AWS RDS - AuroraAdvanced skills in UNIX, Python, Shell scripting, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and CloudFormationA proactive approach to database security, performance optimization, and troubleshootingStrong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate in a team-oriented environmentAbout AutodeskAs a pioneer in 3D design, engineering, and entertainment software, Autodesk empowers creative minds to construct a more sustainable and innovative world. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $141,400 and $228,800. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range.
