Project Managers on the Real Estate & Development Team (RE&D) lead the detailed project plans for Supplier Development of new and improved integrated systems for Apple’s fleet of retail stores and corporate spaces spanning fixtures, lighting, technology infrastructure, merchandizing displays, and architectural cladding. The role is responsible for the supplier development aspect of the project initiative timelines, managing initiative budgets, scheduling, and leading meetings, forecasting initiatives, supervising timelines, handling status trackers, and presenting to Senior Leadership. The position requires an interest in bill of materials development, pricing, manufacturing processes, and risk mitigation. The team drives centralized onboarding for all new suppliers assigned Owner Furnished scope for RE&D. Description Description Successful SCD-PMs thrive in a rapidly changing environment and constantly drive excellence across their own responsibilities as well as that of team members and partners. They frequently leverage strategic internal relationships to effectively collaborate with design, development and other Apple teams. You can make inquisitive decisions with the information available, think and stay focused under pressure, and communicate concisely and effectively with senior management as well as peers. SCD-PMOs scale new and existing manufacturing partners as well as driving creative and strategic commercial deals to achieve goals around cost, supply, and quality. - Manage the project initiative work to timely completion of each programmatic gate. - Track project initiative status and report progress to cross functional partners and prototyping date requirements and work with vendors to fabricate, deliver, and install on schedule. - Manage proposals and change orders for supplier counter-sourcing project initiatives. - Facilitate and lead project initiative meetings for the Supply Chain Development team with internal and external stakeholders including the vendor supplier manufacturing partners. - Develop new methodologies and processes to improve team productivity in key project management tasks. - Partner with Supply Chain Development Managers to collaborate across the Apple organization to ensure business objectives are met. Includes the ability to rapidly synthesize and communicate findings to senior leaders and to actively identify potential supply issues that can affect RE&D roadmaps. - Partner with Sourcing Program Managers and Global Architecture & Design to evolve management processes that streamline initiative implementation from Innovation and Visual Merchandizing into Retail Store project piloting and handoffs. Minimum Qualifications Minimum Qualifications 7+ years of experience in supply chain development, strategic sourcing, or procurement. Strong analytical/negotiation skills. Hands-on experience in any of the following: product development, building construction systems, fixture/furniture systems, design, manufacturing practices/techniques, vendor management, or supply chain development. Possess strong business acumen and experience managing strategic supply chains, cost models, and complex procurements. Proficiency in project management software. Along with Global Sourcing Experience: Experience in handling global suppliers and understanding international procurement practices. Advanced Project Management Certifications: PMP or related Experience with Integrated Systems: Deep understanding of integrated systems used in retail and corporate environments, including architectural materials, furniture, fixtures, lighting, and technology infrastructure. Risk Management Expertise: Advanced skills in risk assessment and mitigation strategies, particularly in the context of large-scale development projects. Innovation in Manufacturing: Experience in developing and implementing innovative manufacturing processes and solutions. Data-Driven Decision Making: Ability to leverage data analytics for decision-making and process improvements. Familiarity with sustainable practices in construction and procurement. Demonstrated tenacious problem solving & issue resolution skills and flexibility to adapt to dynamic and rapidly changing environments. Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills. in addition to being an excellent communicator, capable of working in multinational environments, driven and motivated by accomplishing extraordinary objectives. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $151,200 and $227,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
