We are looking for a Customer Care Advisor to join our global Books team! The main purpose of the Customer Care Advisor is to provide initial assistance, troubleshooting, and problem resolution to internal and external stakeholders and enhance the reputation of the Company by providing great Customer Service. You will act as the principal point of contact for our suppliers. As a member of the Customer Care Team, the Customer Care Advisor is responsible for responding to queries by phone or email. If this sounds like an opportunity you are interested in, then we would love to talk to you! About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments.1-2 years of experience working in a related Customer Care environment.Advanced proficiency in MS Excel required.It would be great if you also had . . .Experience with MS Office (Word and PowerPoint etc).Bachelor’s degree preferredWhat will you be doing in this role?Serve as a principal point of contact for customers and suppliersRespond to customer queries & claims via email & phone within department standardsAccurately enter all publisher information onto the company data baseContact publishers for delivery and new edition information either by telephone, email or postSource publishers and titles from the internet and data basesAssist with the development of system enhancements and testingAssist with workflow reviews to ensure time and cost efficienciesProvide accurate information for quotes and tendersMaintain system informationVerify information received and offer alternate solutions for customersAbility to understand and retain high volumes of different proceduresContribute to ad hoc projects and initiatives that may be requiredContribute to effective team working both internal and externalDevelop and maintain excellent working relationships with all internal departments and teams.About the TeamThis role will report into the Manager, Customer Care.The Books Customer Care team comprise 19 people based in UK, US and Canada. This role sits with the UK team of 8 liaising closely with our overseas customer service colleagues. The team is a key part of the wider Books team, working with development teams & other colleagues to deliver new features & functionality and updates across our platforms with the customer experience at the heart of our work. The wider team is comprised of colleagues across the US and the globe, all committed to helping users in education institutions and libraries around world achieve their goals.Hours of WorkThis is a full-time, permanent position based in UK. This role will require hybrid working from our Ringwood office.
