Senior Engineering Manager - Processes

As a Senior Engineering Manager at Workiva, you'll lead the Processes product team, driving the development of innovative solutions that streamline data collection, certification, and automation of task assignment. You'll work closely with stakeholders to shape the future of our core product in Automation and Connectivity (A&C), delivering impactful solutions that address the dynamic needs of our clients. This role provides an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful contribution within a vital area of our platform. What You’ll DoTeam Leadership and DevelopmentLead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative, inclusive and innovative work environmentAssume responsibility of full-scale people management duties, steering the hiring process, conducting performance evaluations, and fostering talent development initiatives to empower our team members to reach their full potentialStrategic Planning and CollaborationDefine strategic objectives and establish policies that drive success within the Tasks product teamCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering teams, product managers, delivery managers, and end-users, to analyze, design, and implement software enhancements and new features, ensuring alignment on application requirements and modifications throughout the processTechnical Oversight and Process ImprovementManage the analysis, design, programming, debugging, and modification of software solutions tailored for end-user applications, with a specific focus on B2B SaaS products serving external client-facing needsDrive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and enhance productivity of the Tasks productWhat You’ll NeedMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree with 7+ years of related experience, or equivalent additional experience in lieu of a degreeDirect people management experience, including supervisory experience of entry-level managers and/or established individual contributorsPreferred QualificationsPeople-focused manager with empathy, trustworthiness, and a collaborative mindsetSome expertise or familiarity in working with workflow or automation systems is desiredArchitectural expertise, understanding of UI/UX principles, and a passion for driving technical innovationStrong technical background with experience in technologies such as Python, Java, React, and DartExperience in SaaS B2B environmentsAbility to navigate through numerous stakeholders, juggling competing demands while effectively balancing prioritiesDemonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including engineering teams, delivery teams, and executive leadershipTravel Requirements & Working ConditionsA reliable internet connection serves as the conduit for brilliance, enabling the unleashing of talents from the comfort of virtually anywhereTypically no more than 10% travel for Workiva’s Internal Developer Conference and team jamsHow You’ll Be Rewarded✅ Salary range in the US: $120,000.00 - $204,000.00✅ A discretionary bonus typically paid annually✅ Restricted Stock Units granted at time of hire✅ 401(k) match and comprehensive employee benefits packageThe salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this job in the US.
