Summary Posted: Sep 4, 2024 Role Number: 200566241 The Memory Performance Team is looking for a software engineering manager to lead its team of System Memory engineers. The team is responsible for making a difference in Apple’s operating systems by optimizing memory used by the software stack. This is a highly collaborative role involving leading a team but also working with software and hardware engineering leaders to drive memory improvements. We are looking for a strong leader to join and lead this amazing team. Description Description The ideal candidate must be technically strong and will be expected to provide technical direction for the team. The responsibilities will include: - Leading a team of high-performing engineers in an innovative and dynamic environment - Driving all aspects of technical development related to memory tools, memory diagnostics, and OS memory changes - Collaborating effectively with multiple software and hardware teams, balancing the driving of issues with building trust with other teams - Mentoring team members to achieve their best potential Minimum Qualifications Minimum Qualifications 12+ years of experience in Systems Engineering with strong understanding of Virtual Memory, hardware / software interactions, and memory allocators Strong technical leadership and ability to inspire team members Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally with engineers and managers across technical domains Excellent spoken and written communication skills Key Qualifications Key Qualifications Preferred Qualifications Preferred Qualifications Masters Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience/skills. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $219,300 and $329,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
