Description Description In this role, you will proactively manage Apple Reliability Lab test fixtures, ensuring they are fit for new products and experiments. If needed, you will collaborate with Reliability engineers and cross functional teams to design new fixtures and test equipment; driving the whole process from design, fit check, fabrication, and on-time delivery - all with a quality of excellence focus. Through engineering collaboration and individual creativity, you are fully encouraged to discover, innovate, and imagine test development action. While also maintaining the Apple Reliability Labs global tooling database/documentation system, ensuring all global Reliability teams use best known method and current fixtures.
- Create imaginative, practical, and comprehensive electromechanical test platforms to test the Reliability of Apple’s next-generation products. Apple’s Reliability Labs provide a fast-paced, hands-on work environment where engineers are expected to be self-motivated, independent, and able to handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Design, procure, and release Reliability Lab test equipment and tooling to Apple Reliability Labs.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new Reliability test procedures and systems to be deployed locally and overseas.
- Participate in discussions resulting in design decisions and action plans to provide effective Reliability test equipment solutions.
- Engage with 3rd party shops to outsource fabrication of tooling and equipment.
- Set up and validate new equipment and data acquisition system installations in local Reliability Labs.
- Provide direct lab support to troubleshoot/update existing test equipment.
