Job Requisition ID #24WD81245Position OverviewWe are expanding our Cloud Management team within Autodesk's Enterprise IT organization, which is responsible for defining, provisioning, and managing enterprise public clouds that enhance developer productivity. We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Senior Cloud Solution Architect to lead our public cloud strategy and implementation, with a focus on Azure cloud. In this pivotal role, you will define, design, and manage our cloud environment, ensuring its scalability, security, and alignment with our evolving business needs. Your deep technical expertise, architectural acumen, and leadership skills will be critical in shaping how we leverage the full potential of public cloud to drive innovation and efficiency.Our engineering culture will empower you to make effective decisions, work collaboratively and take accountability for engineering projects at the company's core and at the leading edge of the latest industry technology trends. This role is remote in the United States, with a preference for Novi, Michigan.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute a comprehensive Azure cloud strategy that supports our short-term and long-term objectivesDefine and maintain Azure cloud architectural blueprints, ensuring best practices and cost optimizationCollaborate with IT security to define and incorporate cloud security policies in cloud provisioningEvaluate new Azure services and technologies for potential adoptionLead the design and implementation of Azure cloud solutions across various business domainsProvide technical guidance and mentorship to other cloud engineers and architectsStay abreast of Azure cloud trends and innovationsContribute to the development of cloud governance policies and standardsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into scalable Azure cloud solutionsOversee the implementation and deployment of Azure cloud solutionsManage Azure cloud costs and optimize resource utilizationImplement Azure cloud security best practices and controlsWork closely with IT leadership, business stakeholders, and development teamsEffectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiencesFoster a culture of innovation and continuous improvementMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field10+ years of experience in IT architecture and engineering5+ years of experience in Azure cloud architecture and design2+ years of experience in other cloud architecture and design (AWS, GCP)Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skillsAzure Solutions Architect Expert or equivalent certification is highly desirableAWS and GCP Architect Certification is preferred#LI-DH1Learn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk! For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $159,100 and $257,400. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range.
