Lab Coordinator, Molecular Diagnostics (m/f/d)Description -The role, within the assay development team, will support the team activities into the design and development of lab-based and POC molecular diagnostic solutions for infectious diseases, using the pulse-controlled amplification (PCA) core technology. HP Health Solutions Germany, located in the science hotspot Martinsried near Munich, is a subsidiary of HP Inc. and develops diagnostic instruments and assays for ultrafast detection of pathogens.ResponsibilitiesCoordinate operational activities within the assay development team.Support management of laboratory material: ordering, monitoring, and archiving. Communicate with operation and procurement team members for lab material ordering and management. Liaise with leads and team members for identification of issues and facilitate their resolution.Responsible for implementation, monitoring, and improvement of the e-lab system. Support continuous digitalization of equipment and material management systems.Liaise with quality team members and support the implementation of safety and training procedures.Comply with quality standards (ISO13485); adhere to good laboratory practice guidelines, facilitate continuous improvement of protocols and procedures, and prepare for lab audits.Support lab re-structuring and equipment or lab relocation.Coordinate laboratory and hazardous waste management. Education and ExperienceM.Sc. in biological sciences or B.Sc. with equivalent and relevant laboratory experienceHands-on laboratory experience requiredKnowledge and experience with a wide range of laboratory methods and equipmentKnowledge of multiplexed PCR and qPCR or isothermal amplification is idealExperience with cell and microorganism culturing and handling would be beneficial.Knowledge of BSL1 and BSL2 guidelines and procedures is idealExperience and good knowledge of Quality Systems (QMS), International standards, and good laboratory practice is required.Experience with an e-lab book for data traceability, and lab activities digitalization would be beneficialIndependent, Self-motivating, and a self-driven work ethic. Ability to support, guide, and motivate team members. Ability to coordinate activities and processesReliable, flexible, and with problem-solving and decision-making abilityAbility to negotiate and confident communicator with internal and external stakeholdersFluent in German and EnglishAbout the team:The assay development team focuses on the design, development, and verification of molecular tests for the diagnosis of human infectious diseases. Our activity sits on a multidisciplinary crossroads between biochemistry, molecular biology, mechanics, optics, and software technology and requires a multifaceted approach to product development.
